Potato Salmon Patties

If you like crispy patties, these fit the bill. I thought they were a little bland though so that's why I only gave them four stars.

Pain de Campagne - Country French Bread

Definitely worth the wait. I used whole wheat flour and it was amazing! I couldn't wait to get home from work today and eat some more. I'll definitely be making this again and again.

Manicotti

If I would have know making manicotti was this easy I would have made it ages ago. I didn't have ricotta but did have cottage cheese and it turned out totally awesome. This is definitely a keeper!

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

These are postively delicious! They are perfect for any type of sandwich. They would be good as dinner rolls too. I had one right out of the oven with butter on it. YUM.

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Very good and very easy. I made the fajita seasoning recipe another reviewer mentioned because I had none and it was great too. I cut some calories by not cooking the chicken in oil, but instead used some chicken breast that I had boiled previously and then just cooked the peppers, onions, fajita mix in a pan with a little water, then added the chicken and mixed well. It was terrific. I'm really glad I tried this recipe because it's a keeper! The bacon really added to the recipe, so don't let that out.

Curried Chicken 'N' Broccoli

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Made this exactly as written. I think it was a little too much curry and could have used some other additional spices. On the plus side it was fast and with a little tweaking could be a really good dish.

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
I was hungry for chili but wanted something different than my usual recipe. I'm a big fan of ground turkey so when I saw this one it was a must-try. The title is well-earned "Terrific" because it is just that. I only used one pound of turkey and it was plenty (I like lots of meat so another 1/2 pound would have been too much) The addition of taco seasoning is by far one of the best ingredients in my opinion. I used a homemade taco seasoning from this site that is amazing and I will never use another. I had to add kidney beans like other reviewers because I love my chili with beans. I did the directions differently and didn't use the oil at all. I find that with ground turkey, if you cook it on a low medium setting it doesn't cook too fast and doesn't stick. So I browned the turkey along with onions, two large cloves garlic, green peppers and added the seasonings. When that was cooked I added the beef broth, crushed tomatoes and kidney beans. I didn't have zucchini and didn't bother with the sour cream and cheese. It was good enough without the garnish (and extra calories) This was exactly the recipe I was looking for - full of flavor and a comfort food all rolled into one. Thanks for a great recipe!

Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
I ran out of salad dressing and decided to make my own. I selected this one and it was a good choice. I used 1/2 cup plus two tablespoons of sugar and it was perfect. I used canola oil and cut it down to 3/4 cup. If you're eating salads to lose weight this isn't the dressing for you. It's a little over 200 calories for two tablespoons, which isn't much if you have a large salad. But it is well worth the calories because it tastes absolutely fabulous!

Sour Cream Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
Definitely a recipe to put in with the family favorites. I was surprised how amazing the sauce turned out. The thought of cream of chicken soup just didn't appeal to me but with the green chili's and sour cream it tasted like I really slaved to make the sauce. The only thing I did differently was added enchilada sauce with the chicken, cheese and onions. It really gave it a great kick and besides, how can it be enchiladas without enchilada sauce : )

Made this exactly as written and it is as good as it gets. I added caraway seeds because I think they take rye bread "over the top" goodness. The house smelled great for the entire day too!

Pumpkin Roll Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I've been making these cake rolls for well over 25 years now and you don't need to grease the jelly roll pan. Just line it with wax paper and allow enough paper extending over the ends of the pan so you can use it for handles to lift the cake out. I also lift the pan up and slap it down on the counter several times to make the batter spread more evenly over the pan. After the cake is baked and lifted out of the pan, generously sift powdered sugar over it, then lay it on a linen dish towel (or pillowcase) and roll it all up together. I allow them to cool no more than an hour. If you allow it to get completely cold it will be more likely to crack when you unroll it. One more thing, do not overbake. I bake mine for 15 minutes @ 350F, no more, no less.

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
I'm not sure why other reviewers are having trouble with the peppers staying suspended in the jelly. I diced my peppers in a food processor and then placed two layers of paper towels in a colander and let it absorb some of the water. Also if your jelly doesn't set be sure that you use TWO packets of Sure Jell because the recipe calls for six ounces. One packet is only three ounces. I made two batches of this today and they both turned out perfect. I used red, orange and yellow for my bell peppers and also added a habanero to the jalapenos for each batch. I plan on making more of this, and soon! Very tasty and very easy recipe. I'm hooked.

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
I'll try just about anything that has garlic in it and this was so much better than expected. I'm accustomed to using fresh garlic in most recipes so I wasn't sure if garlic powder was going to give me the garlic flavor that I love so much. This was REALLY good! I made it exactly as written and will definitely be adding this one to my Allrecipes binder.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
After all the great reviews on this coleslaw I decided to give it a try tonight. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. I made it exactly as written with the exception of using mayonaise instead of Miracle Whip (didn't have any) and celery and poppy seeds. It was spectacular! I will definitely be making this again.
