Man-Lovin' Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
OH MY GOODNESS !!! Yum, Yum. My son tasted it before it even went in the oven and suggested using it as a potato salad recipe. Good call !! Would add chopped celery for that. Also great w/out potatoes for a chip dip and it hardly takes any time to meld flavors. Thanks

The BEST !!! Even my potato soup boycotters changed their mind. Served with a good crusty bread (and a nice dark beer). Yummmmmm

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
Used baking potatoes and halved the recipe and it ended up being dry (did I do something wrong?). Added the other half of can of soup and an additional cup of water to the reheated portion and it was much creamier...almost like soup.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
As per recipe and a few dashes of ground peppercorns, my family loved it. Good comfort food. Did use boneless thighs instead of breasts and meat was very tender and tasty. Will try next time with suggestions of spices from other members.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
The BEST ever. Prepared by my 14-year-old daughter for a school project, it was complimented by all at table, even an older Italian lady !! She chose not to include sausage, because she doesn't like it, and she also used a prepared sauce, but added prepared italian seasoning, fresh parsley, fresh basil and the sugar. This will forever be our lasagna recipe !! Also...it was perfectly moist throughout with no extra sauce needed ! She did add she would like to add more ricotta cheese next time.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
Will never used the prepared canned stuff again. However, I made it even easier by using canned beans. I used what I had on hand..kidney and canellini.

Crazy Cake

Very chocolately and moist. Only thing I didn't like about it was that it was too crumbly to eat by hand

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Everyone in the family loved it. So moist, the muffins sat in the pan uncovered for 3 days and they're still good. I would add chopped nuts to the recipe and either sprinkle on top or add to the batter. Thanks for the recipe

Summer Squash Casserole with Nuts

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Substituted brown sugar and sour cream. Yummmmmmmm. What a great way to use all that end of summer squash. Doubled and will freeze half for later. Thinking sausage might be a great addition for a complete meal casserole.
