About this Cook
I am an avid gardener but living in the Midwest is very challenging! I enjoy new recipes and I often go on searches for the "best" of something. Right now I'm looking for a good macaroni and cheese recipe that's comparable to Kraft since it keeps getting more expensive to buy and less in the box! The third thing is that I'm a writer and I also enjoy composing music.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make a dish called Stufso. We don't know if it's a German or Indian dish but it is delicious! It is a mixture of meat and oatmeal fried into patties, a great breakfast dish.

Chicken Pot Pie Soup
This was easy to make but it did lack a little "something." Needs a little more flavor but I don't know what. Would cut down on the liquid to make it thicker, too.

Tim's Green Bean Casserole Extraordinaire
After reading the other reviews, I automatically cut the s. cream by half (using only 1 c.). I also added chopped bacon and onion powder for a little more flavor. An additional can of green beans to make it go a little farther. Thinned the sauce slightly w/ a little milk and then added the cheese. It was very good and such a nice change from the "usual" green bean dish. Topped it off w/ the french fried onions instead of the topping as in the recipe.

Bacon Roll Ups II
These were easy and delicious! Added 3 Tbsp. of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix to cream cheese. Baked at 375 for 20 min. on wire rack on baking sheet and they were nice and crispy without being greasy!
