Very tasty! I simmered my meat sauce all day. It was very good, but I did add a pinch or two of red pepper flakes to spice it up. My family devoured this!!

Breakfast Pies

My family really enjoyed making and eating these! I will agree that the Grands Jr. biscuits are too large to use. I will use a regular small biscuit next time. I made one batch per this recipe and another batch and used diced ham instead of the sausage.

Apple Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
My husband picked this recipe for our Sunday night dinner. I needed 4 servings for our family. I made a few minor changes: seasoned the pork with salt, pepper and garlic powder, sauteed a small onion in the leftover fat from browning the pork chops and used golden mushroom soup for the topping. I used a whole box of stuffing and a whole can of soup. The stuffing was so tasty! The apples and raisins went so well with the pork. We will be making this again and again! Thanks!!

Bill Clinton's Lemon Chess Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
My husband wanted a chess pie and I have never made one. I looked for a good recipe and decided on this one. I followed the recipe exactly. I baked mine for over an hour and had to cover the crust to prevent burning. I took it out of the oven when the middle was set. My husband really enjoyed this. He said it isn't old fashioned chess pie like his grandmother used to make but it was still tasty. It was very lemony, and it helped to cut the pure sugar taste of most chess pies. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to the cooking time and the consistency of the final product. As you can see in my photo, the filling was still a little loose. The pie was very hard to serve and would fall apart in a few seconds after being put on the plate. Still tasty! Thanks for a great new twist on an old classic!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
This cheesecake was AMAZING!! I don't think I will ever make plain ol' pumpkin pie again! It is very light and tasty!! The only changes I made were to use a little extra pumpkin and spices. This was even a hit with my son who normally won't even look twice at a pumpkin pie!

Mad Hatter Salad

Crunchy, light and fresh! Very nice change from plain old coleslaw! I did decrease the amount of butter used by about half. I mixed one packet of seasoning in with the nuts and noodles and the other in the dressing. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Brown Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
My family and I loved this dish. It was very easy to prepare. I followed the recipe to the letter with the exception of cutting back on the basil. I think those of you who substituted brown rice for the white rice need to understand that brown rice takes longer to cook. Again the recipe is wonderful as written! Thanks Monica for a great recipe!

**********! Amazing! This is so quick and easy to prepare there is no excuse to use ready made cream cheese frosting! I only used 8oz of cream cheese and one stick of butter but kept the other ingredients the same. I used this to frost the Frosted Banana Bars on this site! Yummy!!!
