About this Cook
I've been married to my wonderful husband, Matt, for almost 6 years now and I've loved (almost) every minute of it! I currently work as a program counselor for mentally and physically handicapped individuals, and I love it! It's a great thing coming home every day knowing that you made a difference in someones life. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two fur babies, Jasmine and Twinnie. I try to spend as much time with my family and friends as possible. I also enjoy anything musical. I love to sing and dance and when I'm not doing any of the above, you can often find me on a wonderful online karaoke site called singsnap, under the name ubergoober. :)
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking different ethnic foods. My mom is full blooded Lebanese and has always been big into cooking middle-eastern foods. I haven't learned how to cook many of the dishes yet, but I'm learning!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Any time spent in the kitchen with my mom is a great memory!
My cooking triumphs
Hah!! All of my cooking sucesses are triumphs to me!
My cooking tragedies
I'm proud to say, I really haven't had any yet.

Ranch Oyster Crackers
Great recipe! It was a definite hit with my family at a cookout a few weeks back. Can't forget to mention, so easy to make! The only change I made was to use buttery popcorn oil rather than the vegetable oil.

Sunrise Squares
I remembered my mom making breakfast casseroles for brunches when I was a child and decided to search for one to try out. I made it last night and it turned out great!! A little watery last night but I re-heated some in the microwave this morning and it's perfect! This one is definitely a keeper :)

Shepherd's Pie Complete
It was good but 4 cans of gravy were wayyyyy too much, it made it really soupy. Try 2 cans instead. Also, if I were to make it again, I would use shredded cheddar cheese instead of the american cheese.
