Yona and Tsugeyu are Christian Cherokees. Yona works as a chef full-time and a security guard part-time; Tsugeyu stays at home and homeschools the children. Yona enjoys Jambalaya and other spicy foods; Tsugeyu enjoys chicken foods. Yona and Tsugeyu try to share all meal times with the children. We believe it is very important for the family to eat together. Yona won the "Spiciest Chili" category in a chili cookoff in 1997; Tsugeyu made it through college with a BS in Foods Nutrition, and a minor in Native American Studies in 2001. Yona makes a disaster in the kitchen when he cooks; Tsugeyu can't make homemade bread without a bread machine.
