Pat's Dumplings
These dumplings are wonderful. I made them tonight to use up some turkey broth. I only gave it four stars because I added some seasoning to it so it wasn't bland. I added some onion powder, garlic powder and poultry seasoning to the flour and salt. I just sprikled it in so not sure how much really. Gives a delicious flavor to the dumplings, especially when cooked in a good broth :)

Boiled Bagels
I made these bagels yesterday. They are fantastic! I made two batches, one plain and one with blueberries. The plain ones are good but seem to be missing something for me. For a plain bagel they are good though. I didn't change anything in the recipe except to let the dough rest for 30-40 min. prior to shaping and then another 30 min. rest after shaping. I had no issues with the bagels falling while or after boiling like some other reviewers said. Not sure why they had that happen. I did lightly grease my baking pan with olive oil and baked with the wettest side up. I let them drain a bit on another sheet before baking. Will definately try making onion or chocolate chip bagels next time. The blueberry are awesome as well. Get creative and try some experiments. These are worth making over and over again IMO. As for quantity, I made various sizes in the first batch and got 14. The second batch made 11. Any bigger I think would be too big. They seem small at first, but they raise and then raise more when boiled. Thanks for such an easy bagel recipe. I've wanted to make bagels for some time and now that I have, I won't be buying them again :)

Mardi Gras Gator Meat Balls
My husband and son go gator hunting every few yrs. so this was a perfect recipe to try for us. The meat balls came out fantastic. I used the spices but added some cajun spice as well, and I only had dried parsley but it worked out fine. I made several meat balls ,and I used some of the meat mixture and formed into patties, coated in the cracker meal and fried in a little oil in a skillet. Made excellent burgers with homemade hot mustard. mmmmm... will be making these again for sure. Thanks so much!
