My mother is French(Normandy). Much of my cooking methods come from her as does my willingness to try many different kinds of foods and flavors in my cooking.
My favorite things to cook
For myself, homemade salsa and chicken nuggets. For my family Chicken Noodle Pie with mashed potatoes, which I have submitted but is awaiting review.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken nuggets for every Indianapolis 500 Race party. Homemade mayonnaise, Pot au feu, Pork roast with garlic, London broil marinated in garlic, oil and lemon juice, Chicken piccata, spaghetti.
My cooking triumphs
Chicken nuggets/tenders;Chicken Noodle Pie with Mashed potatoes;Fresh salsa;Lasagna;spaghetti
My cooking tragedies
Leaving the bag of giblets in the turkey the first time I cooked it.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes
Excellent recipe. Want to go one better? Use cream instead of milk. Beyond awesome.

Salmon Deviled Eggs with Homemade Mayonnaise
Just a note from the "author". My original recipe did not call for mixing the "homemade mayonnaise" with the eggs, but to use as a side to top the eggs. We have always made the egg mixture with regular Hellmanns mayo and dolloped the homemade mayonnaise on top. This is the way my mother served it to us in France. It is excellent.

Banana Split Cake III
This was a great recipe. If you use a 9 x 13, I suggest you substitute Jiffy yellow cake mix box to get a smaller amount or use a 10 x 15 inch pan. I used a trifle bowl and it was awesome. Made a great presentation.
