About this Cook
I am a woman who loves cooking, baking, reading recipes and of course eating too! hahaha... I have a list of favorite foods that is too long to name everything, but mostly I love good quality food! I could live on seafood!
My favorite things to cook
I have many favorite foods, I have mastered cooking some of them. My favorites that I make are a lot of comfort foods; beef stew, chicken pot pie, roast turkey and stuffing, lasagna, sheppards pie. I also love being adventurous and trying to re-create dishes I've had a restaurants. I've have sucessfully re-created an Indonesian curry dish that is delicious. In the fall, I love baking, especially fruit desserts. Anything with apples and or cranberries - yum!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The best family cooking tradition we have is lobster dinner on boxing day. Nice break from the turkey and lobster is in season where I live.

Mango Chicken Curry
Yummy and easy! Will be making this again, only I agree with other reveiws that it lacks saltiness.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole
I made this and like many of you, I made a few changes. Its a great recipe to change around or add to etc. I added corn and sauteed my onions with the chicken and some garlic. Added a little chilli powder too. I layered it differently than the directions stated, I had the rice with the soup mixture on the bottom and mixed the salsa in with the chicken and corn, and put that on top. I topped it off with cheese, and I only used about half of what it called for, which was plenty. Anyways, it was great idea, even though I didnt follow the directions, it turned out fantastic!

Campbell's(R) Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Sandwiches
I really liked this recipe, only I changed a couple of things. I had my pork in the slow cooker on high for about 5 hours. The pork was easy to pull with 2 forks. I tasted the sauce, and it was good, only I found it was a little on the sweet side. I added a little bbq sauce to it at the end, and it was perfect! Served on Kaiser buns - yummy! Oh and I omitted the oil, it wasn't needed.
