I am a stay at home mother of 4. I've always wanted a big family, with lots of kids that come home for Sunday suppers with all their luandry. I'm also a very proud Marine wife of 10 years. I've been all over the place. We have lived in CA, then we moved to NC. Boy was that a drive! And now we are in Vina Del Mar, Chile. It is a big culture shock. Most of my favorite recipes I can not make over here. I am a simple girl who loves to please people through the food I cook. I love southern food or comfort food, same thing I guess. I also enjoy baking. But I'd have to say my favorite things to cook are really anything my hubby and kids will love. I love to be in the kitchen with my kids. Passing on what I know so they won't be afraid to cook for themselves. Holidays are a special tradition. Having family around me and enjoying what I make is special to me. My husband is a bit of a picky eater, so anything that gets his approval is a triumph for me. I would have to say the first time I tried to make manicotti, which was in the begining of my hobby. I forgot to sauce the bottom of the pan before I layed down the manicotti and when I tried to serve it up it was stuck to the pan and somewhat burned. My husband felt sorry for me and tried to eat it anyway...awe.
