About this Cook
I love to cook, but have not always had time. Life is changing and hopefully, I will be able to spend more time in the kitchen. I don't like to spend money on prepared foods if I can make something myself, so I try to make everything from scratch, it really costs less in the long run.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook almost everything. I am not great on the grill, of course my husband loves his grill and I am not allowed to touch it anyway...lol
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of my Grandmothers always made perogies and stuffed cabbage. I don't remember ever walking into her kitchen and not smelling garlic, to this day nothing can ever have too much garlic in it.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving for my family, everything was cooked and all necessary food was there.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list, every time I mess something up, I get back on the horse and try again.

World's Best Lasagna
We prefer more meat to cheese in our Lasagna. This meets our needs as our standard recipe. The extra sauce froze well and was a great spaghetti sauce a few weeks later.

Gingered Pepper Steak
Didn't have green peppers so used onions instead. Nice flavor and easy to make, be sure to slice the meat thin so it cooks quickly.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken
This was great, the only change made was that we soaked the chicken in the butter for 20 minutes.
