Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Loved it! My husband said- "this is a keeper, would like to see it again!" I dredged the chicken in flour, as many suggested. The sauce thickened without a problem. Yum!

Pea 'n' Crab Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
I made this salad for a luncheon at my husband's work, it was requested he bring a pasta salad without meat in it because of lent. I thought this was great! I used a box of farfelle (bowtie) pasta, a lite sun-dried tomato dressing by Ken's, flavored feta, and then pretty much followed the recipe. This was super easy and quick, kept well overnight, the spinach wilted, of course, but was fine, yummy! I would certainly make this again, especially if I am short on time.

Peanut Butter Crispies I

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
This recipe was very easy and very yummy!!! I actually cut all ingredients in half, but still spread in 9 X 13 pan because I wanted thinner bars to use for fondue dipping. They were the perfect thickness even just for snacking, so would make it this way again. I used a few different kinds of cereal on hand, (Cheerios, Golden Grahams, and Rice Crispies.) I lined bottom of pan with was paper, sprayed some pam around edges, came out with ease! Yum! Thanks for an easy recipe that utilized ingredients I had on hand!

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I needed a chicken thigh recipe that I already had the ingredients for on hand- found the perfect one with "Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs!" I doubled the coating recipe, as many suggested the coating wasn't enough. I omitted the salt, since some suggested it was too salty, and I used some garlic powder instead. I used 10 thighs, totaling 4.5 pounds, making each thigh over 6oz, a little bigger than the recipe called for. There was more than enough coating. I took the advice of one cook and used aluminum foil in the pan to help with clean-up, great advice! It was great! Not too bready, not too spicy, but plenty flavorful, yum! Will be happy to make again!

Croutons

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
Perfect! I forgot to buy croutons to go with the soup I made today. Of course my favorite recipe site didn't let me down! I only had 5 slices of wheat bread, but I ended up using the same amount of butter, brushing it on both sides. I didn't cut the crust off, which was fine- yummy, crusty croutons! I sprinkled garlic powder on one side, garlic salt on the other, without measuring. I baked for like 20 minutes, checking frequently. I'll be sure to make these again!

Seven Layer Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Great! Made it for Christmas and I'm going to make it again this coming weekend! I accidentally left out a couple of the layers, (cheese and lettuce,) and it was still great! I'll remember them this weekend! I think I'll skip the cream cheese and just do sour cream though. It was a little hard to mix together. Yum!!!!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
SO easy and SO yummy! It took very little effort to mash, just needs to be cooked long enough, which wasn't much more than 20 minutes, as directed. I used 6 MacIntosh, and followed the rest exactly. Will certainly make again!!!!

Yum! SO easy and turned out great! An impressive meal for my inlaws on Christmas Eve. Will definitely make again! "Vinegar smell" was not an issue. Went very well with "Sarah's Applesauce!"

Chinese Chicken Salad III

Great salad! Looked like something served at a restaurant, and tasted even better! Made a great meal! (a couple of them actually, this makes a lot.) I followed the recipe exactly, (slightly work-intensive with many ingredients,) and would make it again the same way.

Glazed Nuts

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
Great! Put these on the Strawberry and Spinach salad for a yummy touch! As suggested by other reviews I added 1/2 cup white sugar, I followed the rest exactly. It was very helpful to use parchment paper for the baking, made for easy clean-up. They didn't turn out sticky at all. Very tasty even by themselves for a snack!

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
GREAT! Didn't really measure the spinach or strawberries, just put together what seemed right for the amount of guests I had, (what is "2 bunches" of spinach anyway?) I think I used about 13oz. spinach and 2 pints strawberries and that served about 8 people. The dressing was more than enough, even using half the amount of oil, (I used 1/4 cup olive oil.) For the vinegar I used raspberry vinegar, followed the rest exactly. I made the recipe for "Glazed Nuts" on this site, as suggested in another review- great advice!

Spicy Bean Salsa

Great! Healthy and yummy! The petite diced tomatoes are probably best to use. I used less dressing, probably half, and it was plenty, as others suggested. Great with Sun Chips or tortilla chips!

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
Exactly that- yummy! I used a top roast, which I had bought on sale,(thinking it was like a pot roast, which is "bottom" I learned,) and was happy to find this recipe that called for top or bottom! I added celery and fresh mushrooms and substituted sweet for the white potatos, my husband's preference. How fun to put it in the crock pot at 7am then come home to a cooked dinner at 5pm! Just ate some leftovers for lunch- yum!
