About this Cook
Before having kids, I enjoyed cooking creatively about 4 nights a week. I felt like I was getting really good at it, and confident in my instincts as well. Now my youngest is 2 years old, and I am slowing gaining interest in spending time making things from scratch instead of out of boxes. Browsing this website helps to give me inspiration.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite recipe that I've gotten from allrecipes.com is the Black Bean and Corn Salad II. I am always asked for this recipe every time I bring it to a get-together.
My cooking tragedies
Pecan Molasses Pie. Turned out as hard as concrete and became the joke of Thanksgiving. Since then, I've only bought them from the store. I am trying to gather courage to try another Pecan Pie recipe.

Grilled Salmon I
Best salmon recipe ever. Simple and delicious! My finicky eater children devour this salmon and beg for more.

Greek Feta And Olive Spread
This recipe was delicious and so easy to make! The only thing I changed was that I used kalamata olives instead of plain black olives - and it was so wonderful! I served it with sliced baguette. I couldn't believe how much flavor was packed into each mouthful! It was a hit at the party I brought it to. I will definitely make this one again. It's a nice orangish-red color, so I served it in a a green shallow dish with a sprig of fresh thyme on top. Beautiful and delicious!
