Loved it! I followed the suggestions and put all ingredients(except the barley) into the crock pot at one time (no cooking the meat ahead or cooking the veggies on the stove). Not only that but my meat was still frozen when I put it in the crock pot!!! It turned out excellent. My husband loved it and raved about having fresh soup.

As others have said this is the recipe on the German Chocolate box with the change in the flour (cake vs. regular and 1/2 cup more). This recipe is delicious! It is a favorite of my family.

I made this with 4 cups of frozen blueberries. I mixed 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of corn starch to the blueberries before adding. It was absolutely delicious. The whole family loved it! This is a keeper. Good enough to serve to guests.
