Excellent, excellent, excellent! I only cooked a 2lb briskett, and 2 hours was perfect. I also used a roasting bag, but I'm sure the foil works well, too. This was very tasty and tender....good stuff!

For traditional Irish soda bread, I would've given this recipe one star.....but for the recipe that it is, I'm giving it four stars. It is fantastic!!! The other ratings are right: This tastes like a giant biscuit. But, it REALLY tastes great! I added 2 more tablespoons of sugar, and I sprinkled a little more sugar on top after each basting as other ratings suggested. My husband LOVES Irish soda bread and said, "It's not what I'm used to, but it's tasty." So....we had biscuit slices with our corned beef and cabbage. :)

Oh wow!!!! My husband was SO upset that I took these to work after having made them! They are PHENOMENAL!
