Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I don't like chicken pot pie of any sort, but my family does. I made this tonight and it was so, so good. I loved it. Next time I will double the sauce and add potatoes and fresh parsley.

Crawfish Etoufee

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This is a very good recipe. The roux was very thick so I added a can of tomato sauce instead of paste. I also added a bit more water and used Cajun seasoning. We serve this over mashed potatoes.

Couscous and Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
We added a lot more of the green stuff to this and less couscous to make it more of a salad. It was just a bit bland so we added more olive oil and lime juice, also a little bit of red wine vinegar and crushed garlic.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This is one of the easiest and best recipes I have ever made. I was a little skeptical of it at first, but I needed a change from the chilis and chowders this winter. So very good.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
This is the best peach cobbler recipe I have ever used. I was very skeptical about the boiling water, but it works perfectly. This is for those who don't care for a pie-like crust. I keep forgetting the cinnamon and it's fine without it.

Goulash Supreme

I'm sorry, but we did not like this. It was extremely bland. We added a lot of basil, oregano, and garlic salt to get some flavor to it. Cook the noodles separately.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2005
This is an awesome recipe and SO good. You must add milk to the receipe though or it doesn't work. I used minced garlic in the jar and that's the only to changes I made. My family love these.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2005
For any decent banana bread you MUST use very overripe bananas. That means the skins are black. I'd say that was half the problem with many of the complaints here. This recipe is wonderful if made correctly. :)

New England Clam Chowder I

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2004
This was delicious. I made a few changes and additions. I cooked the onions in the butter first and also added 4 stalks celery. I did not use bacon in this recipe. I also cut down the amount of liquids by a qarter cup each so it would be very chunky. It could possible use a few more spices, thyme or celery seed. I just added a bit of parsley. Add a bit of cheddar cheese to the top too. I also did use a bit of cornstarch to thicken it even more. This recipe is very runny if followed exactly.

Peach Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2004
Try Kayelle's (her review and instructions on how to make the sauce is below) special butter sauce over top of this. I've been making this cake for months, but Kayelle's butter sauce makes it absolutely perfect.
