Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
very good and easy! I added some herbs and mixed everything in my Kitchen Aid mixer. I also let it rest 1/2 hour and then rolled it out. Cooked it on my pizza stone and it was very good!

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

This was wonderful! I used chicken breast and it was just as good as the local Italian restaurant here. I also added the mushrooms at the beginning and they were cooked just right for us.

Luscious Slush Punch

I made this for a block party and it was a hit! I only used 1/2 the amount of sugar and it was too sweet for me but the kids loved it.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
This was really good. I did make some changes though. I didn't brown the roast, just threw it in the crop-pot frozen. I cooked it on high for 4 hours and then shredded the meat and cooked it on low for a few hours. As for spices I needed to add a bit more chili powder and salt. (I didn't add as much hot sauce as in the recipe) I will make this again!

Maryland Crab Cakes II

These were delicious and really easy! I added 1 Tbsp of Old Bay and left out the salt and pepper like others suggested. Better than what I've had in restaurants!

Orzo with Mushrooms and Walnuts

This was a nice change for a side dish. I added celery to the veggie mixture. I forgot to add the walnuts and I'm sure it would be better with them.

Italian Semolina Dumplings

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This is a great starting point. I made the dumplings exactly as stated. First I think they need more semolina, the mixture was a little thin and my dumplings fell apart in the water and it wasn't even a strong boil. Next time I might try making the mixture and then letting it sit in the fridge to firm a bit. The taste was really good. I have been trying to re-create dumplings from a little deli in my hometown and these came closest to taste, I just need to work on texture.

Cheesecake Brownies

These were so good! Just like the black bottom cupcakes my mom used to make but 1/2 the work! I used a 9x13 pan and had to cook the brownies a few extra minutes.

Mark's English Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
As a Canadian living in the States it is hard for me to get all the food I love from home. This came pretty close. I took the advice of other posters and added onions, carrots and celery. I also cooked the sausage on the stove before hand. I used Jimmy Dean original sausage and while it was good I will try something else next time. The sausage just wasn't the same as in the sausage rolls from home.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
This was wonderful! I just made one small change and that was to add 1/2 tsp of cream of tarter to the meringue. I followed the cooling directions from other posters. It not only tasted great but looked wonderful too! If I was making this for company I would make it the morning of because after a night in the fridge it didn't look as pretty. I will be making this again!

Very good!! Light and fluffy. I followed the recipe but only kneaded the biscuits a few times just enough to combine everything.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This was so good, very moist I did make a few changes to make it a little better for you. I cut the recipe in half to only make 2 loaves so all changes apply to that. I used 1/4 cup applesauce and 2 tbsp of butter in place of all the butter, 2 eggs, and only 1 cup of sugar. Next time I think I could cut down on the sugar even more and take out the butter completely. I followed the advice another reviewer gave and baked it at 325 for 1 hour. TFS

Banana Crumb Muffins

I love these muffins. I have been making them for years but just now reviewing them! I make a few changes when I make them. I use oil (or applesauce) in place of the butter, reduce the sugar to 1/2 and add vanilla and cinnamon to the batter. So good!!
