Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

This was pretty darn good. It took a little longer to cook. I thought the top was to brown but it turned into a wonder crust. Absolutely beautiful.

Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar

I use a raspberry balsamic vinegar and it was pure heaven. Pour it over a cream cheese pound cheese. Very nice!!!

I followed the recipe except that I used 1/4 cup of water. I like my sauce on the thick side and if I used 1/2 cup it might have been to watery for me. What a great quick and simple recipe. As far as too much soy sauce I added a tiny bit more because I couldn't taste any. Yummy!!!

Black Bean Hummus

I had to leave out the olives because I didn't have any and wasn't going to the store. It was still wonderful. I would take this recipe over a hummus with garbanzos beans any day.

Peasant Bread

This was an easy recipe but most of all I was surprised at how good it taste with such few ingrediates. I've made this several times in my bread machine and it always turns out well. I did find out if you use BREAD MACHINE bread flour instead of just bread four it will rise a little to much. Next time I scaled the recipe down from 12 to 8.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

This was an absolute hit at an event I had at my culinary school. It was so good the Chef wanted the recipe and another said "these are the best biscotti cookies I've ever had." Thanks for the recipe.

Frying Pan Okra

Simply, easy to make okra recipe, exactly what I was wanting. Flavor is simple and mixture of onions adds to the dish. Recommended for something quick and easy.

Texas Okra Gumbo

I didn't have any fresh cayenne peppers so I just added cayenne pepper the spice. Looking at this recipe it didn't have any other spices but cayenne so I added, thyme, oregano, basil, and bay leaves. Also, I didn't understand why no salt and pepper were listed so I added some of that too. All in all the recipe turned out well and was very flavorful. I'm freezing to save some for later and I'm sure the flavors will become stronger.

Rice & Beans (Haitian Style)

I'm not a big fan of Red Beans and Rice but this is something special. The cloves give it that extra flavor which made the house smell incrediable. My husband came home and that was the first thing he said, "what smells so good"? I didn't have the chili pepper so I used red pepper flakes just to give it a little heat. I also didn't have any parsley so I used dried and left it in. This recipe is something different then your plan old red beans and rice dish.

Strawnana Bread

WOW!!! I was surprised with this one. I had some bananas and strawberries I had frozen (for a long time). I thawed them out to use and wondered if it would taste ok. Well... we loved them. I made muffins and cooked for 30 mins. This recipe goes in my make again.

Marinated Rosemary Chicken

I loved the flavor and enjoyed making something new and different. I did have tons of marinate leftover and was wondering if I did something wrong. The color was a little funky (very green) but I had the chance to use my garden herbs which made it all worthwhile.

Pesto Sauce

I have a basil plant and found this receipe so I could use some of my home grown basil. I'm not fond of walnuts so I used pine nuts instead. The flavor was incrediable. At first the basil was a little strong (I used to much) but after the pesto sat in the frig for a week my pasta dish turned out perfect.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

I've made this twice and enjoyed it both times. I always make extra sauce. Using sweet basil and yellow onions gives it more of a sweet taste which everyone loved.
