Resided first 20 years in Mobile, AL area. Served two enlistments in the U. S. Air Force between 1971 and 1986 for a total of ten years active military duty. During these ten years, I was stationed in the Philippine Islands, NW Florida, Italy, Southern California, and Germany. I had planned to attend a cooking school while living in Italy, but my duty requirements were conflicting hours.
My favorite things to cook
Blackened anything. My wife prefers my Cajun Blackened Steak. We never eat out because we both agree that the best place to eat in Mobile, Alabama is at our house.

When I discovered, "Why you should not cook dried beans in a sealed pressure cooker". 3rd degree burns to my face, hands, and back of my neck when I removed the lid.
