Lemon Lush

I agree with ironcity amy, the lemon pudding tastes very fake. The idea is good, but while this version is easy, I would rather put in more effort for a tastier result. Thanks anyway.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
This was a big hit!! I made them for a baby shower this past weekend and everyone enjoyed them. I doubled the recipe and used veggie flavored cream cheese with only enough mayo to give it a good consitancy. I also subbed colby/jack shredded cheese instead of swiss and used pre-cooked bacon peices. Great recipe!!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
This is ok, I don't think it lived up to the reviews. I made it this past weekend for a baby shower and people ate it, but no one raved about it. I found it to be too sweet and I like sweet things. I might make it again and cut back on the sugar.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
The first time I made this was for Valentine's Day and it was delicious! I made some changes though: serve on spinach, sub balsamic vinegar in the dressing (I love balsamic!!), sub feta (don't care for blue cheese), and sub red onion for a bit of color. This is a great change from regular salad and so much fancier!! Thanks!!

Baked French Fries I

Great base recipe. I mess around with the seasonings depending on what we are in the mood for and they are always really good. Much better than frozen fries. Thanks for this easy, healthy version of a great side!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
We loved the flavor, but the wings never got crispy, so the consistency was not very good. But, I will make this again, but probably more as a glaze for chicken breasts or grilled chicken as others have suggested.

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

My boyfriend loved this (I thought it was great too)!! I did not make the glaze and I am glad that I didn't because I think it would have made it too sweet (and I love sweet). Great recipe, definitely a keeper.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
I have been making this soup for about a year and it is always a hit!! I always use two large cans of diced tomatoes and add fresh garlic and it comes out great. I use a hand blender to puree the tomatoes because we like it a bit chunky. Pair it with some good bread, try 'Jo's Rosemary Bread' also found on this site, and you have a gourmet meal!!

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
Target sells a Rosemary and Olive Oil bread that I love to make paninis with or serve with pasta. My boyfriend suggested I find a recipe for it and this is it!! This was exactly what I was looking for!! The only thing is that the bread machine didn't produced the crust I was looking for, but this fixable. I made the bread and served it with 'Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup' also found on this site and it was fabulous!! Thanks for the great recipe!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
I don't understand what the people who rated this recipe as poor were thinking. This was unbelievable!! I made it for a work function and everyone loved it. I would suggest refrigerating it overnight with the caramel and toffee. Put the whipped topping on it right before serving. Thanks for the great recipe.

Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
Between my boyfriend and I we have lived in Louisiana for 12 years in the heart of Acadiana (Cajun Country). This was NOT jambalaya. It was a very good dish and I will make it again, but I was disappointed by the misleading name. I followed some of the suggestions and cooked the rice separately in the broth from the chicken and sausage. I also added a fresh jalapeno. Thanks for the recipe, but still looking for a true Cajun jambalaya.
