Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This was a delicious cream cheese frosting. I skipped the almond extract because I didn't have any. I used it on 'Fudge Cake' also from this site. My fiance did not care for the combination, but like the icing. Will try it on a spice cake next time.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
I've made the recipe 3 times and each time everyone raves!! The sour cream makes them so moist and adds a great tangy to contrast the sweetness of the bananas. I usually half the recipe and it comes out perfect. I skip the sugar/cinnamon pan dusting and sub half wheat flour and half brown sugar. Easy recipe with fabulous results. Thanks!!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
My fiance is not a chocolate lover and he loved this!! It was so good! Used is as a filling for the 'Fudge Cake’ recipe found on this site. It was a little too runny, but I think that’s cause I melted the hot fudge before mixing it in. It is a keeper!!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
This was not as good as grandma's, but it's very good for how easy it is. I used soup base instead of broth and a rotisserie chicken. Added extra veggies too. Thanks for an easy and tasty chicken soup recipe.

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
This was really good, much better than boxed mexican rice. The only change I made was to use canned tomato with chilis rather than the tomato and jalapeno. I also had to add more water and cook longer to get my rice to soften, but every rice recipe I attempt I have to do the same. Thanks for the great recipe!

White Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
This was my first attempt at white chili. The only change I made was to sub ground turkey for the chicken. The chili was ok, but nothing exciting. I will keep looking for a good white chili recipe.

Cadillac Pimento Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I love pimento cheese. This recipe was not only very quick and easy, but also very good. The only thing I changed was instead of using 1/2 cup of mayo I used 1/4 cup of mayo and 1/4 cup of sour cream. Next time I might even try only sour cream. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I've made the recipe many times and everyone always raves about it! The last time I made it I subbed cream of celery cause I didn't have mushroom and it still came out great! I make it as a casserole, laying the tortillas and chicken mixture. I also think this mixture would make a great hot dip for chips! Thanks for the recipe!

Fat Free Refried Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
We liked this, even though I didn't think it was anything like refried beans. I halved the recipe, omitted the smoke flavoring (don't care for it) and didn't drain the beans. It was soupy (next time I'll omit the water) but the flavor was good. Will make again with a few changes. Thanks!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
We loved this!! I didn't have any celery salt and used a parm, romano, and asiago cheese blend cause it was what I had on hand. It turned out great! Will use again and again. Thanks!!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
I made these a few weeks ago. I had two fresh and then froze the rest for when my fiance got back from work (he loves blue cheese and I was anxious to get his reaction to them). The frozen ones were a bit better, but overall we didn't think they were that great. My fiance makes better blue cheese burgers, although I don't know what he puts in them. Thanks anyway.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

I made this last Sunday for dinner and we loved it!! It was super easy, just open, dump, and mix; I didn't change a thing and it was so delicious! I will make this one often. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
I usually don't eat meatloaf, but my fiance asked for it so I tried this recipe. We enjoyed it, but we both thought it had too much onion in it (maybe my 'small' onion wasn't small enough). Also, it took 1-1/2 hours to cook and I know it wasn't a problem with my oven. Overall it was good and I will probably make this again, but add another dimension to the taste by spicing it up with some chili powder for a 'sweet and spicy' flavor. Thanks!

Glo's Sausage Fried Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
I made this with left over chicken sausage and omitted the bean sprouts because I forgot to get them at the store. My fiance loved it and I thought it was pretty good. An easy and tasty way to use leftover rice and sausage. Thanks.

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
This was the second time I made these and both times they came out great! The only thing I changed was to mix the bacon into the potatoes rather than sprinkle on top. Thanks for the recipe!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 cause I made quite a few changes. Here's what I did: used a 3lb roast; cut slits and put 3 cloves of garlic in it; rubbed it with lots of pepper, garlic powder, little celery seed, and little mustard powder; mixed 1 can mushroom soup with 1 can french onion soup and put in slow cooker on low with 1/2 sliced onion. Three hours into it I flipped the roast. An hour before it was done (7 hours total for me) I added 1 cup of red wine, carrots, and celery. The meat was tender and moist and delicious!! This was my first attempt at roast and it was a big hit! Thanks!!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
My fiance LOVES peanut better, so when I saw this I had to try it and I'm glad I did!! Very easy, but great taste! I made half a batch since it's just the two of us. I used Lite cool whip and Reeses peanut better. I put a layer of hotfudge on the crust before the peanut better filling as per another's suggestion and it was great!! Only thing I might change is next time cut back on the sugar just a little. Thanks for the great treat!!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2006
I followed the recipe but subbed pinto beans for kidney beans and tomato soup for tomato sauce as per reviewers' suggestions. It was super easy and was pretty good. I think it could use more heat so next time I'll spice it up a bit more. Thanks for the recipe!

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2006
These were wonderful!! I'll never peel potatoes for mashed potatoes again!! I added a bit more sour cream (because I love it) and per another reviewers suggestion boiled the potatoes with a clove of garlic. Thanks for the great recipe!
