Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
I love this so much! I've been making this dish for a few years now, and it's still a hit with everyone I make it for. I always leave out the fresh parsley since I don't usually have it on hand, and I don't think it affects the dish at all. Purple and orange cauliflower makes this dish especially striking!

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
I made this with a kabocha pumpkin and ground chicken since turkey wasn't available, and it was awesome. I also added black beans, corn, extra tomatoes and some cumin.

Lemon Custard Filling

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2003
This lemon filling was absolutely divine! I filled a yellow cake with this and covered it with a chocolate frosting that I found on this site, and it was fabulous. I made the cake a day ahead, and this didn't make my cake soggy at all. It tasted especially good because the cake reached room temp while the filling was still cold and firm. Everyone raved about it. I did add an extra tablespoon of lemon juice, though, since I like a powerful lemon taste.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2003
After I made this recipe once, I made at least 8 more loaves within the week! It was so good! For each loaf I used Labatt Blue (a nice, rich, Canadian beer), and I added sun dried tomatoes, cubed sharp cheddar cheese, and a little butter and dried rosemary on top. I also cut down on the sugar a little bit, and made my own self rising flour. My guy friends loved it, and even my non-drinking parents liked it since you could really taste the beer in it (but Blue tastes great, so this was a good thing). Thanks again!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2003
This is one of my favorite deserts to make, and it's so easy. I don't change the recipe a bit, but I always have a lot of chocolate left over. I then raid the kitchen looking for other food to chocolate cover! Thanks so much!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2003
This was a delicious dish! It hardly took any prep time at all. I used halved cherry tomatoes for a better look, and I doubled the amount of spinach. Also, I didn’t drain the spinach as much as I should have, but the water kinda fused with some of the tomato juice to make a small amount of sauce in the pan which was really good. My family loved it – thanks!!

Chocolate Mice

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2003
These little mice were adorable! My brother (who's 25 - these aren't just for the kids!) really likes gerbils and mice, so I made these to cover a chocolate birthday cake that I made for him. I didn't have the balls for the eyes, so I used rainbow sprinkles instead. I used red sprinkles and red licorice to make albino mice rolled in conf. sugar, and white sprinkles for the other mice with black tails. I rolled some in a cinnamon/sugar mixture for brown mice. Thanks for a great idea!!

Chocolate Chip Meringue Drops

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
This recipe was very easy and fun to make. I had a lot of egg whites from another recipe, so I multiplied this by four and it worked out perfectly. I haven't stopped eating these since I made them!! Thanks again!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
This is one of the easiest things I have ever made! I made one for my family and they loved it so much I made two more for the 4th of July. Unfortunately, for the last two I made, I didn't have enough time to cool them, so they were a little puddly, even after two hours in the fridge. I actually thought they were better the next day, so make them a day in advance!
