Yummy Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I usually make this as an igloo and pair it with the olive penguins as a special request from my daughters. The appearance appeals to children and the flavor appeals to adults.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
very good! We used Halloween chips (had orange colored white chocolate and chocolate chips) and they tasted great. I can't help but wonder how the peanut butter chips or the new mini mini peanut butter cups would taste...i am thinking yummy!

Quick Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
Kids love these! So easy even my husband can make them (and he does an excellent job). He usually adds a 1/2 bag of peanut butter chips to make them even more peanut buttery. One trick is to cook the cookies in the ball shape and THEN criss-cross smash them after you have removed them from the oven so they don't crumble!

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
Nice change from the usual. This salad really taste much better if you let the flavors blend overnight. Slightly bland for me, I would consider adding more mayo and Ranch seasoning next time. But I will make it again. This salad really has a lot of potential!

Peppermint Brittle

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
I ended up making this recipes with candy canes (I used 12 large candy canes)and they turned out delicious! Very simple to make and they add nice color to your Christmas cookies. You could use different flavored candy canes too for a different twist to this recipe.

Plain Egg Less Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2003
I made this for a guest(as the little girl is severly allergic to eggs) at my daughter's 3rd birthday party. The little girl was delighted to be eating birthday cake just like all the other children and her Mom just kept raving about how great the cake tasted. I personally tried the cake and did not really care for the grainy texture but I am not a connoseur of eggless cakes.

White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
These were okay. Don't think that I will add them to my Christmas cookie list (unless someone requests them). I read all of the comments and used the popular recommendations. My 1st batch ended up a little doughy (even after they cooled). So, i extended the baking time...still didn't help. Should I decide to make them again, i think that i will add salt.

Brunch Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
Very convientent, but a little bland for my taste so I piled on my favorite salsa and it was great. I also followed the other reviews and used foil...so no burning for this casserole on Christmas morning!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2002
Taste great! We were all surprised! I followed the other reviewers tips: Line pan with foil (no spray and it still worked great), cool completely (I didn't use the fridge/freezer, it just sat on my counter for about 5 hours since i had some zoolights to see), cut with a pizza cutter (this worked great and made nice size pieces), and finally my favorite, use the leftover crumbs for ice cream topping...yummy!

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2002
Turned out great! I just wish I had the kind of popcorn kernels that pop as big as the ones at the fair...then it would be perfect. I followed the other hints that others listed...so it turned out delicious.

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2001
This was excellent! Served at a family gathering and everyone raved about it! I did double the sauce (half for the cooking and half for afterwards). It is not a very saucy BBQ...more like a marinade. Despite the lack of "saucyness" it was very flavorful (it really didn't need to by saucy). Of course it takes a while to cook and shred the beef but it was well worth it. Great recipe Corwynn!

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2001
Like the different take on brownies/cheesecake. Made it for a family gathering and not a single one was left. If you are a real cheesecake lover...don't think that this cheesecake will satisfy a connoisseur. It is a very rich, chocolate dessert and it did the trick!

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2000
I must have messed this one up because it turned out terrible (I am sorry to say). It ended up gooey (even though I cooked it longer). The almond flavoring was too much. My husband hated it so I had to rate it low for kid friendly.

Cocktail Meatballs III

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2000
This recipe is really easy when you use the pre-maid meatballs. throw it in the crock pot and go...what could be easier?! It looked so simple to make that I was concerned that my party guest would not like them. But they received rave reviews and were quickly gobbled up! Matter of fact, I am making them for dinner per my husband's request!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2000
This marinade made our flank steak de-licious! It retains a wonderful grilled flavor when cooked on a barbeque. The steak is so tender you can cut it with a dull butter knife!

Watergate Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2000
Pretty good! A little rich but that can be fixed by adding more cool whip. I added chopped pistachios and it was very tasty! Not sure how kid-friendly it is . . .my 4 month old is not ready for it yet!
