I am an English teacher for a middle school in the area. I love what I do, and I love to get kids hooked on books. I also love my two labrador retrievers, Homer and Scout, and my husband. I love to make desserts- cakes, cookies, pies, cheesecake, breads, anything sweet. My favorite thing to do is cook Sunday dinner, and have everyone over. We always eat too much, laugh too much, and have a great time. My cooking triumph was Valentine's Day. I made seared Sea Scallops searved with steamed asparagus and risotto milanese. For dessert? Why chocolate dipped strawberries of course. I burned frozen peas once. No joke. That is up there with burning water.
