Baked Salmon II

This was a very good recipe. I would recommend using all of the oil in the marinade. But only pour about half of the marinade over the fish when cooking. My 5 year old who won't try anything "different" really liked this. My husband was pleasantly surpised that it didn't taste as fishy as he expected. I will definately make this recipe again.

Hot Peanut Sauce

This recipe would need a lot of changes for me to make it again. I don't think it's worth the trouble though. It needs more flavors, not just spice. Also needs to be thinned down.

Sour Cream Refrigerator Mashed Potatoes

This was a great base recipe. I made it per recipe and would give it a 4. The changes I made were to use onion & chive cream cheese and to omit the paprika and chives. I have made these ahead of time and also right with the meal. I just put in a warm oven long enough to melt butter pats on top. Both ways are great.

Original Irish Cream

Really, really good recipe. I will never buy Bailey's again. This recipe is adaptable. The called for amount of whiskey is fairly strong tasting but some people like that. The comment I received over and over was that my friends liked the fact that it wasn't as sweet as Bailey's. I am also planning on making a batch with 1 cup of Jameson and 1/2 cup of hazlenut liquer. I can't wait! Update: I have made many times over with 1 cup whiskey and 2/3 cup hazlenut. It is amazingly good!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

This was a nice change from the tried and true green bean casserole. They are pretty similar though. I found it pretty evenly split. Half of my guests like this better the other half prefer the standard. I liked it better so I will be making it again.

I was very disappointed in this recipe after the rave reviews. It wasn't horrible but we felt the soup was very bland and runny. I'm not even sure its worth trying to fix up. Sorry

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This soup was very good and easy to prepare. My husband quickly gave it 5 stars. I also would like it a bit thicker next time. I used fresh broccoli and it was wonderful. Thanks Karin for the recipe.

Caramel Snack Mix

Absolutely addictive! Made this for our company party and had several requests for the recipe. This recipe is change friendly as far as type of nuts and that sort of thing. BE SURE to stir every few minutes after you take it out of the oven to keep it from sticking in one big glob.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

This is a very good soup. Only gave 4 stars because I thought it was quite thick. Easy to thin down with a bit of milk though. Yummy wintertime meal. Update: What was I drinking when I posted first review? I make this all the time now. It is NOT to thick. Easy to adapt to ingredients on hand. Excellent recipe!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Definitely better than restaurant. Easy delicious. I agree that the sherry (or red wine) is a must! You can easily change the type of onions andor cheese to suit your taste.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Yum, Yum...Made exactly to recipe and it was wonderful. The only change I think I will make next time is to use red wine in place of water. This is so easy to prepare and would go great with pasta, potatoes or rice.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Yum, Yum! This recipe is oh so easy. Throw it together in the morning, come home to a wonderful smell. Even my 5 year loves this soup. I only put in 1 cup of water to make it more like a chili. I also threw in some sliced black olives. Next time I will try with chicken.

Kraut Bierocks

I too used Rhodes rolls to save time. This is an excellent recipe. I have also filled them with chopped ham, smoked gouda mixed with a bit of mayo and stone ground mustard. Yum. For a very kid friendly bierock, mix pizza sauce with shredded mozzerella & chopped pepperoni.
