This is a great banana pudding recipe. The kids especially love it. I didn't change a thing. At potlucks it is always devoured!

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
A friend of mine made this for a dinner party we both attended and OH MY GOSH what a hit! I asked her where she got the recipe from and was not at all surprised when she said allrecipes.com. I hoped on line as soon as I got home to print this out for my recipe collection. The only she, and I, will do differently is to add more garlic. You can never have too much garlic. Thanks Stephanie.

Pan Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
I was going to make Angel Chicken from this website while visiting my Mom. Then I discovered that she had no onion & Chive cream cheese, a key ingredient for that yummy recipe. So, I hopped onto Allrecipes.com to find a recipe she had all of the ingredients for and up came Pan Sauce Chicken. This was very good and pretty easy to make. I will definately be making it again. I will probably add some fresh garlic & mushrooms. Yum!

Marinated Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
I give this 5 stars for taste but the prep and presentation needs some work. The cream cheese tasted wonderful but was very difficult to work with. I ended up with very tasty blobs. The cheddar cheese didn't seem to absorb the marinade as well as the cream chesse. I think when I make it again I will use other soft cheese like havarti, mozzerella or gouda. And find a different, softer yellow cheese. Any ideas?

Peanut Sesame Chicken with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
I thought this recipe was very good. However, it does need a bit more "sauce". Next time I will add about 1/2 to 1 cup of chicken broth when adding the corn starch mixture. That should give something for the rice to soak up. I also topped this with crunch chinese noodles. That really gave it a nice crunch.

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2004
I served this as a spread along with the artichoke brushetta from this site. Served it with toasted french bread. I would recommend spicing it up a bit though. I think some diced red pepper or a little jalepeno may be nice.

Artichoke Bruschetta

This was really good. I I toasted the bread separately and served this as a spread along with a crab spread. It went over really well. We actually liked combining the two spreads together as well as having them plain.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2004
If you use the pre-shredded coleslaw this is super easy to throw together. I do like to use the red cabbage mix to give nice color. I think that subsituting seasame oil for veg. oil is a must to give it a bit of a kick. I recommend changing the ramen based on your main course, pork, chicken, seafood, etc. If you use the creamy chicken ramen it does make the salad just slightly creamy to please everyone.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2004
This a is great base recipe! It adapts well to changes for personal taste. I don't put in the onions. To the roux I add onion powder, garlic and cayenne pepper. You can use different types of shredded cheeses as well. I have tried cheddar, parmesan, jack and smoked gouda all with success. I also only cook at 350 so the potatoes cook without having the cheeses burn. If you like that golden look remove the foil the last 15 minutes of baking.

Steak Salad

Really good recipe. The salad part is very change friendly based on your veggie likes and dislikes. My husband doesn't like blue cheese so I subsituted crumbled gorgonzola. It is more subtle than bleu cheese and turned out well.

Crab Quiche I

Reviewed: May 27, 2004
This is a wonderful recipe. Even my 5 year old loves it. I did use sour cream instead of mayo. For a really nice touch top it with some hollandaise sauce when serving. Knorr make an excellent packaged hollandaise that is a zip to make.

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2004
Based on ingredient and reviews I decided to try to spice this up a bit to serve at a party. I used 3/4 cup mayo, 3/4 cup sour, 3/4 cup onion & chive cream cheese. I also added a bit of garlic and a couple dashes of cayenne pepper. It really turned out well. Goes great with potato chips, wheat thins, ritz and veggies.

Lemon Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2004
This is a great base recipe. I made some changes and will make more changes next time I make it. I used white wine instead of broth. Didn't use any lime, just plenty of lemon. For us it needs a little something more. I will use some garlic and parmesan next time. This went well with salmon and I will be making it again with the changes. Thanks!

Yumalicious!! I used boneless and it worked out just fine. The only change I made was to season the oil I brushed on the chops. It was also very kid friendly. This will definately go into the rotation.

Bangers and Mash

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2004
We loved this homey recipe. I did make a few changes and this recipe is very adaptable to your taste. I used hamburger and 2 packages of gravy. In the mashed potatoes I used a little butter, sour cream, onion & chive cream cheese and milk. (yum) I think next time, and it will be soon, I will add some veggies like mushrooms, peas and corn. So easy & so hearty! Thanks for sharing, Amanda

Almond Sauce Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2004
I was very disappointed in this recipe. It requires a lot of prep. I agree that it was difficult to get the almonds to stick. A good deal of the almonds were left in the pan to burn while cooking the onions and mushrooms. The chicken came out looking a very unappetizing gray color and was very dry. I cooked in the oven for 40 min. as indicated. Maybe I cooked to long in the pan. There was very little sauce even though I doubled it and it was very sweet and didn't go well with pasta. Sorry, but I won't be making this again.

Avocado Soup with Chicken and Lime

Very good soup. Used a little less jalepeno and a little more avocado. This is a very adaptable recipe. I also did about a 1/3 puree to thicken a bit. I really enjoyed this.
