Hearty Maple Beans

Perfect to make ahead for 4th of July cookout. Oven-baked them in the AM and then put them in the crockpot until we ate later in the day. The texture was fine even after sitting for a few hours.

Baked Cherry Tomatoes with Garlic

Served this with Turkey Day dinner. I knew 3 out of 6 wouldn't touch them.but two of the three tried them and now I'll have to make a double recipe for our next get together. This recipe converted two tomato haters to baked tomato lovers.

Basic Fondue

I tried all beer instead of milk and it had a bit of a bite. Next time I will use half beer and half milk. I followed other reviewer's suggestion about coating shredded cheese with flour. The tip works well. The floured cheese blended into the liquids perfectly and without a problem.

Cheesy Spinach Casserole

All I could find was marinated artichokes so I drained and rinsed them for the recipe. Because they were still so salty, I didn't add any salt. Will definately make this again.

Baked Doughnuts

Don't know what I did wrong. I formed the doughnuts by dropping batter in a donut shape onto a greased cookie sheet. THey flattened out and formed a shallow cake with 12 lumps. The taste was wonderful and we enjoyed the warm "cake" with apple cider. I Will definitely try again. Maybe I'll buy a donut pan.

Best Frozen Daiquiris

This is the perfect for a shower. I needed more servings so I increased the ingredients by 50% and used 1 qt. of rum. It was slightly strong for some guests, but they added a little non-alcoholic punch to their cups. I served this along side Mock Champagne.

Monte Cristo Sandwiches

A good recipe but I've made better M.C. Sandwiches. I prefer the sandwich assembled then soaked and fried. I liked the chopped smoked turkey and honey ham combination instead of sliced ham and turkey.

Eggplant Parmesan I

I like this recipe because you don't bread the eggplant before you fry it. I used a jar of chunky mushroom sauce and added a little more than the recipe called for. This way I had more sauce when I served it over spaghetti. So Good!

Banana Oatmeal Bread

Potato Soup V

Perfect balance of tastes. Will certainly make again and again. Be careful not to cut your diced potatoes too big; a small bite size is good. Try adding a few finely chopped celery leaves for a little different texture.

Cabbage Beef Soup

Perfect is recipe for a cool,rainy night. The tastes and textures were perfect. I didn't have to make any adjustments for my picky family. I served this with Oatmeal Soda bread and chocolate pudding for dessert.

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

This recipe is pretty good. I didn't like the brand of tortellini that my grocery store offered for this soup. Perhaps this would taste better with fresh instead of dried packaged tortellini or just plain pasta. I've got to try making this again.

Quick Quiche

I've tried other quiche recipes and this one is just OK. It didn't have enough substance to it and tasted like an egg fritatta. If I'm not using a pie crust, we prefer the texture of the recipe using pancake mix.

Sweet and Sour Pork Patties

Good recipe for a sweet & sour dish. Next time I will use a little less red pepper flakes and buy a different brand of sweet & sour sauce. It gave me a chance to finish the fresh parsley from Thanksgiving. I think it's a must.I made 9 patties and cooked them in my square electric skillet.
