Swanson® Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Like this recipe. The corn and black beans add a different tex ture than red beans. My only concern was that I was unable to find Pace Thick &Chunky and had to use another brand. If I can't find it next time, I won't use the substitute salsa again.

Wine Cookies (Original Italian)

I had no idea what a wine cookie was so I don't know if my cookies from this recipe turned out correctly. They've got a subtle wine taste and aren't too sweet. I think they turned out bigger than 2 inches and I was expecting something more like an amaretti single bite. The dough is very sticky so I was unable to make pinwheels and just plopped small dough pieces into the sigar topping bowl. Will make again.

Zippy Ground Beef Skillet

I was going to make something else for dinner and discovered I didn't have what I needed. Allrecipes came to my rescue when I found this recipe. I substituted a can of Rotel and tomato sauce for the canned tomatoes. We all loved it. I will definately make this again. Thanks Vicki and Allrecipes.

Sweet Baby Carrots

Baked Tilapia

Just OK; won't make again. Tried suggestion to use white wine instead of olive oil, threw it out it out and started over using written recipe. Has a lot of flavor, but is too oily.

Italian Potato Salad

Vermicelli Chicken Salad

Wonderful for dinner in the heat of the summer. This recipe made enough for two dinner and four lunch servings. We love it with a little smoked paprika or Greek seasoning sprinkled on top. The different seasonings change it up.

Thunderbird Stew

Pretty good especially when served over rice and a veggie side. Be careful not to over cook. Start checking at two hours. Love the sweet beef flavor.

Cheese Straws

The taste was spot on. My problem was that I couldn't get them to brown so I had to serve them a little pale. The overbaking to try to brown them made them tough. I heated the leftovers later in the week with chili. They're were delicious.

West African Vegetable Stew

It was a cold, rainy night and my husband was coming home wet and miserable. As soon as he hit the front door and got a wiff of what's cooking, his demeanor changed. He took time to email the recipe to his vegetarian friends after wolfing down half his plate. (They'll work out the chicken broth.) I had to sub petit cut canned tomatoes and frozen spinach and it turned out fine. It's a great meal and we can't wait to have it again.

Cherry Coconut Bars

Can't wait to make this again. Had them for dessert and then with coffee the next day. My company asked to take some home with them. Quick note-Cutting the cherries into quarters stain your fingers.

Cinnamon Honey Butter

I served this with Christmas dinner that included baked sweet potatoes. Our family's picky eater (an adult) not only ate her potato, but put this on her seasoned turkey, green beans and rolls. She had a clean plate. First time ever! Leftover butter was put on pancakes the next day.

Colonial Brown Bread

Was going to half the recipe, but decided to make the two loaves. Glad I did! This is a great recipe exactly the way it's written. I used my big mixer with the dough hook and the speed on 2. Perfect texture, crust and taste.

Italian Anise Toast

Grandma's Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

Couldn't find black bean soup so I used a can of black beans in seasoned sauce (more like seasoned water). Everything turned out well even the two Tbs. of chili powder and I don't like chili powder. I served this with a pan of cornbread on the side.

German Currywurst

This recipe tasted OK, but I won't make it again. I'd rather use a little ketchup than 45 ounces of tomato sauce since I had lots leftover. My husband who lived in Germany for a while wasn't happy and will stick with ketchup and a couple shakes of curry powder.
