The Very Best Burgers!

I found this recipe in a newspaper and I have made these burgers for over 40 years! My family prefers them without the buns and blue cheese.

I have been making a different version of this recipe for over 30 years (more like some of the other reviewers suggested). This concept is great, but it just doesn't have that extra *oomph* quality needed to make it truly outstanding.

I found that the recipe ingredients need to be re-scaled, even for a family of 4. Otherwise it is hard to use 20 servings within 5 days, as suggested.

I am sure the recipe must really be pretty good, but the idea of watching 4 people, ("I just made this for lunch for some friends and it was fantastic-the plate was licked clean.") sitting at the table licking their plates. . .!! Eeew!

Buffet Scrambled Eggs

An interesting and unusual scrambled egg recipe. I would like to see the Nutritional information posted, if possible. For those who have been concerned about the saltiness of this recipe: It is not the butter, it is the 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules which equal 1301mg sodium. (That is the equivalent of almost 1/2 teaspoon salt.) I either reduce, or omit, the bouillon granules for better results.

Campfire Foil Packs

Since campfires are not an option for us, I either grill these packets, or bake them in my oven. My only change is to leave the chicken cubes out of the packets--but not out of our meal. If grilling, I cook the chicken on skewers, and if baking, I stir-fry the chicken until lightly browned.

This a great recipe that can be personalized by every family! Re the reviewer who said: "I thought the texture of the noodles was a little weird - maybe because they were added dry." Obviously, that reviewer did not read the recipe directions when she made the casserole!

Pasta Salad I

This is a wonderful conbination of ingredients. However, it calls for too much pasta. Uncooked pasta expands double, or more, when cooked. Six cups pasta, plus all the vegetables, certainly would serve more than 6. (When you lower the amount of pasta, the calorie contents changes!)

Far East Spiced Olive Oil

So you won't be disappointed if you plan to use this oil in marinades, or stir-frying, please don't pay attention to Allrecipes: "Prep time 5 minutes - Ready in 5 minutes". The recipe description clearly states: "Let sit for a week or so to let the spices do their stuff." It is great for use in stir-fry dishes.

Philly Steak Salad

This is a very interesting main-dish salad! I consider it a "Fusion" resipe based on Philly Cheese Sandwiches, served with fries. I think some reviewers must have been confused. The recipe didn't say to use a combination of the two dressings, but gave an "OR", choice.
