Marshmallow Crispie Bars

Can't go wrong with the simplest of memories. I remember these as a child and I loved them. I think next time I will add more marshmallows...we like them extra gooey. Thanks for the post.

Chocolate Pretzels

These are delicious. I am planning on giving them out as holiday gifts. I know that my family will love these. It is true what another reviewer stated...don't eat these when you are hungry. I could have eaten half of these myself. Thanks for the post.

Cream Soup Base

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
I actually use this on a regular basis and I love how easy it is. The reason for the 4 star rating is because I do reduce the amount of flour. 6tbs is too much for us and it ends up getting too thick. Other than that...added our own seasonings depending on what kind of soup. Delicious. Thanks for the post.

Buckeyes I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
Wow these are good. Had a Christmas party to attend for hubby's work and needed to bring a dessert. Since we got this awful ICE storm....I had to make something with things already in the pantry. This was perfect. The only reason that I gave a 4 star rating is because it is almost too sweet and I reduced the amount of sugar already. I also decided in order to hide the toothpick holes to drizzle (leftover)chocolate sauce on top so no one would notice. I will definately be making again, but will try to find a happy medium with "too sweet". Thanks for the post...you saved me.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
I really liked the way that these turned out...but couldn't handle the 90 minute baking time in the oven. I tried to make this a bit shorter by using the microwave. I really liked the idea, but will only make again when I need to have the oven on for that long. Thanks for the post.

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
Made this for Thanksgiving...and everyone liked it. They did say that they liked the traditional pie that I normally make better, but this was still good. I am glad that I tried this, but according to the relatives I should stick with what works...so I guess I will have to keep with mine. Thanks for the post.

S'mores

Made these for my son tonight (hubby and I ate the Microwave Peanut Brittle). He ate this up like nobody's business. I had forgotten how much I loved these as a kid...definately something for those warm winter nights. Thanks for the post.

Microwave Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
I frist saw this recipe and thought "NO WAY". Peanut brittle in the microwave, but then had to try it. Glad that I did. I did make a few changes after reading the reviews. I put the sugar and corn syrup in the mic. for 1 minute...then added 2 cups of peanuts...(we like our peanut brittle with extra peanuts). I then cooked this for 3 minutes. After it came out I added the baking soda and vanilla. Put it in a glass dish (layed down parchment paper)...and delicious. Planning on giving these out for Christmas treats. Thanks for the post.

My son loved this. I used cheese Doritos because that is what I had opened already in the pantry. Glad I made some extra so that he can eat some later. Thanks for the post.

One of my favorite roast chicken recipes to date. Very moist and delicious flavor. Hubby was impressed and was glad there was some leftover to take to work for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the post.

Garlic-Buttered Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
These were good. Couldn't bring myself to use garlic powder so instead used a clove and sauteed some onion with it...like another reviewer I added some parmesan cheese also. I too thought it needed some flavor as well. Thanks for the post.

Old Fashioned Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
Made this for dinner tonight...and delicious. This is my grandma's recipe (with a slight variation on the sage). We also only add 1 egg and a little bit more onion. Delicous. Everyone ate this up with very little left over (bit disappointed....wanted to bring some home). Thanks for the post.

Pam's Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Good stuff...I do agree that it was really moist. I used Ritz crackers instead (didn't have any Saltines). Did have a ton of grease that scared me a bit....but liked the end result. Thanks for the post.

Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Shallots

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I also added mushrooms like others....and added just a bit of flour after the mushrooms were sauteed....to help thicken the sauce. It was delicious. Added some green onions for some flavor and cruch when I served it. Hubby exclaimed...that it smelled great...and tasted great too. Thanks for the post.

Added some green onions and a splash of soy sauce. Turned out well....was missing the water chestnuts to give it some crunch, but still very good. Served it with a honey sesame sauce. Thanks for the post.

Scallop and Prosciutto Bites

I normally make this with bacon, but had some prosciutto and thought "what the heck". It turned out really well. The prosciutto didn't crisp up as much as our bacon does, but was still good. Thanks for the post.

Only change was to use olive oil. This was good. A strong soy taste (isn't my favorite), but something hubby and my son liked. Will make again. Thanks for the post.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
This gets a mixed review. Hubby did not like it that much...had a hard time finishing his serving (which is really unusual). On the other hand my son (20 months) and I LOVED it. He kept eating it up and I went back for seconds. Good thing daddy didn't like it because my son got to eat some leftovers the next day. Thanks for the post.
