Southwest Chicken Salad I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
This was good. Hubby thought it was only ok (he's a meat and potato guy). I did add some fiesta corn with it...hand it on hand and thought it would go well. Will probably make again for me....but not hubby. Thanks for the post.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2007
This is delicious. What an amazing and easy dish. Hubby came home while cooking immediately said "wow it smells amazing in here." That was all I needed to hear. Dinner was done in less than 15 minutes. Thanks for the post...will use over and over again.

Meat Filled Manicotti

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I thought manicotti was supposed to be cheese filled? Oh well. Tried this because I don't like cheese filled pasta...I like a little meat. This was good. I wanted a little more italian flavor with this so I would try to add some italian spices next time instead of just the oregano. I liked the result and will make again. Thanks for the post.

Layered Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I have used this recipe countless times when I needed to bring a dish and it couldn't be a hot one. This lasts if it is setting out for a while and it is delicious. It is a good crowd pleaser but doesn't have the WOW factor, but that's ok sometimes. The only change I make is to add some green onions for color and some crunch. Delicious...thanks for the post.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
My husband's grandmother made this for a Birthday dinner for his grandpa and my husband hasn't stopped talking about it. He even asked grandma for the recipe....low and behold she told us it was from here. Now I have hubby begging me to make this on a regular occasion. I did halve the amount of salt (cuz that's the way grandma makes it). Definate keeper. Thanks for the post.

Divine Summertime Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
I really liked how this turned out. I was intrigued even though it is wintertime now.....and I am glad I tried this. Hubby said that this was really good (which is a compliment). I loved the way the cream cheese complimented the chicken. I did dredge the chicken in a little flour and didn't have any tomato. We also used a Sara Lee bakery bun instead of the french bread (it was what we had on hand). Delicious and will be making again. Thanks for the post.

Bean Burrito Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2007
Definately easy and one you can change up whenever you want to. I used the campbell's nacho cheese (had it on hand and thought, why not). I also added more cheese to the top than the recipe called for. My son and hubby liked it. I do think it ended up a little dry like another reviwer said, so next time I will try it with the chimichangas like they suggested. Thanks for the post.

Egg Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
After I started making this I realized I was out of green beans....so instead of adding the regular onion I decided to use green onion for the color factor. It turned out ok. Not my favorite recipe, but I liked it. Thanks for the post.

Baked Asian-Style Honey Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
I thought this was good. I used boneless skinless breasts and browned them in a skillet before transfering them into the oven. I wasn't thrilled with the consistency of the sauce, but that was easily fixable. I did double the sauce to have over the rice. I will use again, because it was very easy to do. Thanks for the postl

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
The sauce is wonderful....but very sweet. I will definately make again, but will reduce the sugar (if not omit). I did double the sauce and coat the meat with cornstarch (and let sit about 10 minutes) like another reviewer suggested. Hubby said it was good, but thought I should use this with chicken (not beef). His comment is that orange goes better with chicken....and I think I agree. Thanks for the post. Will use again (probably with chicken next time).

Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
I make my own crab rangoons all the time...we like a litle more stuffing in ours than the restaurants around here add. I read the reviews and decided to change up the recipe just a little. I omitted the w. sauce and reduced the sesame oil just a little. We really liked the results. Thanks for something different.

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
I didn't use the corriander (didn't have any)...or the green chiles (forgot). It was still good. I will use again, but I think next time I will add a little more cheese. It was good. Thanks for the post.

Honey-Orange Marinated Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
This was really good. I did change the soy sauce to 1/4 cup (instead of 1/3). The other change I made was: put half of the marinade on the fish for 2 hours. I reserved the rest of the marinade and reduced it on the stove to serve as a sauce over the salmon. Delicious. Thanks for the post.

Mumze's Sticky Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2006
These were good. I added some grated fresh ginger to give it a little kick. I had the same problem that others did with the sauce not getting sticky, so the second time making these I only put half the sauce on the chicken and the other half I reduced on the stove. I then added the reduced sauce the last 1/2 of the cooking time....sticky results. Thanks for a new recipe.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This was delicious. I had to give a 4 star rating because I changed it a bit. I put whole garlic cloves into the meat before putting it into the slow cooker. I also added more water because the gravy was too thick. (no idea how much more...eyeballed it). I also reduced the amount of seasonings after reading some of the reviews stating that they were just a little too strong. This will definately be used again in our house. Thanks for the post.
