About this Cook
Happily married, mother of 1 wonderful son. Work in human Resources for a non-profit.
My favorite things to cook
Love to try new recipes! Lucky me my husband is not picky and will happily try anything i make, his only rule NO OLIVES! My son is always hungry!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother never really cooked while I was growing up, with her work schedule fast and easy were her specialties! So I was on my own when it came time to learn!
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs are my theme holiday dinner such as our Mexican Christmas Feast and Old Fashioned Christmas Feast featuring a traditional Xmas Goose.
My cooking tragedies
While still living as home, I painstakingly prepared my famous and hours to make "Chocolate Pound Cake", my mother for some reason needed to "check the bottom" picked it up and in doing so it slid of the tray and was shmooshed into pieces!

Creamy Chicken and Rice
Good but I also added broccoli, celery and onion to the chicken mixture. In addition I took out the chicken bullion and used garlic and onion powder with the seasoning salt. For the topping I halved the cracker crumbs and added about 1/2 cup of shredded cheese to them for the topping. I also took out the butter which was not needed once the cheese was added, I used sharp chedder instead of the velveta. I think the combo of velveta, bullion and seasoning salt would add way to much salt to this dish. With the changes I belive it is a 5 star recipe, but a 4 as written

Salisbury Steak Deluxe
Very Good, I added some crushed "frenchs Fried Onions" with the crumbs. They were a little mushy but I refrigerated a bit then formed and added to a screaming hot pan to fry. After both sides were browned i slid them into a baking dish, topped with the sauce and finished them in the oven.. Turned out perfect and did not fall apart this way!
