Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Way too sweet. I followed the recipe exactly! I will not make this again and will never use Granny Smith apples to cook with!!!

My sister-in-law makes these cookies every year. She rolls the dough 1/4" thick or a little bit thicker and uses a large circle cookie-cutter and then bakes them on parchment paper until the bottoms just begin to change color. She spreads some with a glaze while they are still warm, or serves them plain which are good, too. I cannot make them like she can, but she swears this is the recipe, so I just look forward to holiday time.

Chicken, Garlic, and Sundried Tomato Pasta

What flavor? This recipe definitely lacked flavor, but I think it has potential. I think if I were to make it again, I would chop the sun-dried tomatoes up so that you could get a taste of them with every bite. I also think I will try a bit of sherry, or more romano cheese...it needs something. I might play around with the leftovers tonight.

BUSH'S® Best Red Beans and Rice

I was dissapointed when I tried this recipe. It was way too tomato tasting. I actually questioned putting in the tomato paste and should have paid more attention to my intuition. I found myself adding water and straining it to get rid of "Chile" taste. After fixing it up a bit by adding Sazon and more Cumin, my boyfriend loved it. Next time I will strain the diced tomatoes and not add the paste!!!
