I loved it! My husband was not so impressed but I caught him going for seconds. Next time I will not put so may onions, they were a little strong for my taste.

Three words, de-lish-us!!! I wouldn't tell my grandmother this but, this receipe is as good if not better than the one we used to make fried pies when I was little. Thank you Melissa.

Cheesy Catfish

It had a "ok" flavor, but it was a little soggy. I found it firmed up somewhat after resting for 15-20 mins. It wasn't bad but it wasn't a winner in our house either. It needs something, I may try it again and tweek the recipe to suit our tastes.

California Cole Slaw

I liked it, I'll make it again. It would be a really good side with BBQ. Little spicy, little sweet. It could be a bit more spicy for me, I think I'll add a dash of hot sauce next time for an extra kick.

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2003
I like this recipe but it is a bit sweet. The first time I made it I used raw apples as the recipe called, but my husband and I didn't like the raw taste of the apples. Second time I made it I cooked the apples in the maple syrup and about 2 cups of water, just until the apples were translucent. It may not be considered a Crisp anymore but we preferred it this way. I would recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Fresh Fruit Cobbler

I love this recipe. Not too sweet, not to tart. I used frozen fruit, blueberries, peaches and strawberries, let them thaw and it was great! Took me all of 10 mins to put together.

Mexican Baked Fish

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2003
I did not like it!! My husband didn't like it either. I don't know if I did something wrong but some of the crushed chips became soggy while others were really hard. The salsa and cheese just slid off when you tried to take a bite of the fish. I know a lot of people like this receipe but it was difficult to eat and was not pleasing to me at all.

Mock Champagne

Served this at a baby shower, it wasn't too sweet or too tart. Perfect! I used cranberry gingerale which gave the punch a kind of pinkish tint and froze the gingerale in a bundt pan, which made a really pretty ice ring. Everyone loved it.
