I have to say the only thing I ever REALLY screwed up was of all things...SPAGHETTI! I made it for my husband and his parents, but we were all talking outside and I didn't hear the timer go off for the noodles. Thinking it hadn't been very long, I went ahead and served it and OH MY GOSH was it awful. It LOOKED ok but as soon as you took a bite it dissolved into mush. It's been 5+ years and I still hear about it!
