Cheese Dip with Beer

I'm not a beer fan, but my friends were raving about a cheese dip made with beer, so I decided to try it, and, well, you won me over. I loved it! It really went well with cauliflower and broccoli! Next time I'll try it with just garlic powder (there's enough salt in the cheese). Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Spinach Triangles

Very easy to make, but I think that it needed some garlic (that would bring out the flavor of the spinach and the feta cheese). This was the first time that I used puff pastry, and they turned out gorgeous! Thanks for the recipe!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Followed the recipe exactly, and still felt like it needed a little something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I thought it was really easy to make, and loved the consistency, but next time, I will buy a better quality jarred alfredo sauce, increase the garlic, and decrease the cayenne pepper. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Easy Rum Cake

I made this for New Years Eve, and my boyfriend and I loved it! It was really moist, and did have a rum flavor that wasn't overpowering like other rum cakes that I have tried. The only thing I changed was substituting the oil for unsweetened applesauce. Loved it! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

French Toast I

My boyfriend made this for me after a long day at school :) He used Cinnamon-Raisin Bread, so he eliminated the cinnamon, and it was wonderful! Thanks for the great recipe Jan!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Amazingly good! I loved that it had a stronger cream cheese taste. I used the low fat cream cheese and margarine, and it was still pretty thick...and extremely delicious! Great recipe!

Garlic Green Beans

Really great! Almost tastes like the sauteed green beans that I order from the local Chinese restaurant! I used fresh local greenbeans, and even after I boiled then sauteed them they were still a bit too firm....but otherwise great flavor. I will make these again, but next time I will experiment with some asian spices (maybe soy sauce) instead of parm cheese. (Maybe I'll save some money by making these instead of buying them!) Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

This is the second time that I made this for my 'family' at work. This time, I didn't have enough Irish Cream so, I used half Irish Cream and half Kaluha. I had gotten raves before and I got raves again! I loved it and so did my co-workers. They said it really helped them get through the overnight inventory...hopefully all the counts are OK! Thanks again for the awesome recipe!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

I was really excited to try this recipe. I decided that I would try it for New Year's. When I made it it overflowed over the sides, and when I took it out it was a mess. Get an extra large bundt pan, or maybe split it up into two pans. It seems like it would be so good, but I'm not willing to mess up my oven trying.

Henry and Maudie's Oatmeal Cookies

I really loved this cookie! I gave it 4 stars because even though i thoroughly greased my cookie sheet, they still stuck, afterwards I used Reynolds Release foil wrap and they didn't stick that much. Great flavor though thank you for sharing!

I really liked the flavor of these beans. They taste exactly like the ones I order in the chinese restaurants. Next time I will try to use fresh steamed green beans instead of the frozen to add a little more crunch!

Old-Fashioned Onion Soup

I hated this recipe. Since I even took the advice of the other reviewers and used beef broth. I tried it halfway through cooking, and it was very bland, so I added soy sauce and worsh. sauce and added less bread at the end. The taste WAS alot better, but I still didn't like it. (It didn't go over well with my boyfriend either.) I wound up throwing the whole batch away. I will not be making this again.
