Chocolate Mousse Cake IV

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
I love this cake so much that I made it three weeks in a row! I used butter cake instead of chocolate for one version, just as good. My only recommendation is the same as the other reviewers, use REALLY cold cream to whip. Try putting a metal bowl in the freezer for about 10 minutes before adding and whipping cream. Also, don't whip or stir in the cream to the chocolate mix, fold gently. Thanks for a great recipe!

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Tasty, but I will cut WAY down on the oregano when I try this one again. My husband said he couldn't say goodbye to these for the whole evening, if you know what I mean! Just a little less garlic and oregano and I think they'll be tasty but not TOO overbearing.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
These were delicous ribs! I made a few small changes but will always make them with this sauce, it was the best. I followed the other suggestions by substituting the chili sauce for 1 cup Honey Mustard BBQ and cutting the ketchup down to 1 cup, and I used apple cider vinegar and 1 tsp oregano instead of 2(Don't really care for oregano). I added a bit of chili powder as well. ONce the ribs were done, I thickened the sauce a bit by adding cornstarch, brushed them with the sauce and broiled them for about 5 minutes. YUM!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
I made two of these pies at once. The first one I forgot to simmer the sugar mixture, AND forgot the water, but the pie still turned out delicous!!! The second time I followed the recipe almost, just shook the apples in a bit of cinnamon and sugar (as previously suggested) and tossed them in the sugar mixture before baking and brushed the lattice top with the rest of the mixture. It turned out ALMOST as good as the first, I found it just a bit too sweet with the extra sugar on the apples. You can't go wrong with this recipe, everyone who tried them loved them!

This cake is so easy and so delicious! I truly love this cake when I'm in the mood for chocolate, it's gooey and rich. It's my son's favorite too I make it every year for his birthday.

Easy Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2005
This is one of my favorite recipes on this site. I stretch the recipe and bake it in two 8 in pie pans instead of one 10 inch. Also, you cannot go wrong with variations of the recipe. Spinach and bacon, onion and mushroom, broccoli, asparagus...you name it and that's not even the best part of this recipe. The best is how easy it is to make. Forget about making a crust! Thanks for a great recipe!

These were really good tasting cookies. I made them MUCH smaller. The dough spreads really thin if you make them too big. I also used apricot preserves and they were even better than raspberry.
