Frozen Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
These were really very simple to prepare and they turned out great! I really would not skip the nutmeg/sugar topping because without it, I don't think these would have much of a flavor at all. The topping really adds to the recipe.

Sweet Potato Casserole IV

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This was really really good! HOWEVER: you can cut WAY down on the sugars. I cut both into 1/4 cups and added butter only to the topping. It was very sweet and buttery without all the extra sugar and butter and healthier too!

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
This was really good! Add a handful or two of sliced fresh mushrooms, skip the salt (the broth is salty as is) and cook with a lid on it. You need the extra broth or the rice will dry out in the oven! Thanks for a great recipe!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I have been looking for a recipe for great wings, and I have found it!!! Use Frank's sauce , add more garlic powder and spices to your flour mixture and cook to crisp while in the oil (I used a mix of olive and veg.). Do NOT skip the refrigeration step and make sure to drain the oil off of your wings or they'll be too greasy for the hot sauce to stick... can't wait to make them with some boneless tenders!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
I was going to just use the meat sauce recipe from my favorite lasagna but thought I'd look around and see what's out here. What do I pull up? The sauce recipe from my favorite lasagna! This sauce is great as is, and the best part is, you can tweak it a bit as you like. add more garlic, less sugar, spicy sausage,...whatever and the end product is always delicious. I personally like a thick sauce so I omit 1/2 of the tomato sauce this recipe calls for, still delicous! Try it you will love it.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Didn't crack but was very thick and solid and CHEESY. Texture was undesirable and taste unappealing to not just me but to the guests I served..one of whom considers herself a "New York" style cheesecake aficiando. Being from NJ myself I guess I like any style but not this one... thanks anyway.

World's Best Lasagna

WOW this was so so good! I like a firm lasagna so I left out one of the cans of tomato sauce. Was perfect. Also, use fresh herbs if you've got them on hand, and lots of them! Can't wait to make this again

The Best Chicken Soup Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I know it's not quite fair to rate a soup that you have not made as the recipe states...but it was an excellent starting point and for someone who have not made CNS from scratch before I needed a starting point. As with almost all recipes, I fixed it a little more to my liking and to what I had on hand. I wouldn't buy a whole chicken simply to boil and make a soup out of. That's what leftovers are for...to make soup. Take a broiled chix...eat it and then boil the carcass in enough water to cover. Shred leftover meat, keep aside. Drain boiled carcass..toss bones, keep broth. Add to broth 2 tbsp chix boullion, 2 cubes beef boullion, sliced carrot, onion, celery and chix. Add the following spices as you see fit: Thyme, basil, parsely, pepper, red pepper flakes (Careful! 1/2 tsp goes a LONG way) noodles of your choice and simmer for 30-40 mins and voila! Easy chix soup!

Honey Ginger Shrimp

This was freaking fabulous! Start with 1tsp crushed red pepper and add more if needed (I needed a little less and it had quite the kick). I added butter and chick broth to make more sauce and it was perfect. I will def be making this again

Roasted Pork Loin

This was great! And so easy, I had family over for dinner and this came out so good they all raved and best of all was how little effort it took! One tip...do use a meat thermometer, it's easy to overcook a roast.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
WOw this was surprisingly good. I used fat free cream and it was just as tasty. If it looks too thin, don't worry...it thickens as it cooks. I got worried and added more rice to mine and it came out too thick after that. Also, top with fresh parsley to make a pretty presentation.

Roasted Vegetables

Very tasty and so easy....do NOT use dried spices, fresh are best for this recipe. If you must use dried use about 1/3 the amount, be careful with them they will quickly overpower your veggies.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This was so easy and delicious. If you have problems with consistency, you have to keep it hot enough so that the parm and romano cheeses melt while you're adding them. Add them a little bit at a time, and don't stir with a spoon, use a whisk and whisk the entire time you're cooking the sauce so it does not get lumpy. This sauce is very versitile too, you can add any veggies and some grilled chicken too. Thanks you for a great recipe!

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
This was fabulous! I didn't have a lot of pan drippings because I used lean loin of pork. To compensate, I had to add some more butter for my sauce. Other than that, I didn't change a thing. Suggestion: Use a quality cut thin pork chop or slices from a pork loin and this will come out much better.
