About this Cook
I love to cook, try new healthy alternatives to junk, especially things for children. I am extremely interested in Homesteading and recipes that correspond....
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook meals, desserts, anything thats new and people enjoy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook my mothers traditional meals. Just simple things that remind me of childhood.
My cooking triumphs
Over the last few years I have tried making my homesteading become a more integral part of my home...I have made homemade cheese, butter, mayo, mustard, and lots of other goodies I would have years ago just bought at a grocery store..now my goals are if I want it when I shop...I try to duplicate it at home first.

Best Brownies
I doubled the recipe and stuck to 3 eggs and the same amt of salt as the original. I did sub peppermint extract for the vanilla because I wanted mint chocolate really bad. They turned out phenomenal, the pan is almost gone...my kids and husband just devoured them

Cinnamon Rolls II
I love love LOVE this recipe, I am 8 months pregnant and its one of my faves...one of my tips is I add a tsp or so of cinnamon to the bread machine along with all other ingredients, double the cinnamon sugar and also add 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the icing as well between myself and DH and the kids..these MAY last over night...and that's providing I don't get up and eat them myself

Volcano Pancake
I love this, so simple yet really satisfying, I added vanilla and cinnamon to it....for the butter, I took the 1/2 cup and put it in the pan I would use, and placed it in the oven while it was preheating. Was so so wonderful. Hubby wants to try it with cheese for an entree one night, would probably add some green onion and garlic to it then.
