Recently we moved from Texas to Franklin, TN; my husband is a retired Epsicopal Minister; between us we have 8 children, 6 of whom are adopted. We have a wonderful family and they all like each other.
My favorite things to cook
Italian anything, then new adventures. I am very comfortable inviting a bunch of friends over and trying out completely new recipes. I love looking up new ideas on All Recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big Holiday dinners with things we have never made before but that look fabulous! Even in their own homes and holidays, my kids all do this.
My cooking triumphs
Best meal ever: Beef wellington for christmas dinner with a rainbow layered dish of butternut squash, garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach; for dessert a lovely croque en boche.
My cooking tragedies
The only thing I ever fixed that none of us could eat was finnian haddie; that did it for us and anything Scotch or English. Gross.
