Creole Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
I'm sorry but but my husband said it was OK and needed a little something. I too thought it was too bland. Great base like the other person said but it needs more spice. We did like the raisins though. I thought it had more of a Morroccan flavor rather than creole. I will have to keep looking for something more memorable.

Don't Chicken Out

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
It was good in a pinch or when you need to use ingredients on hand, I did need to add alot more spices. Great base sauce though. We love anything with cumin in it. If not for this recipe I would nver have thought to put cumin in a tomato type sauce. Good though. I also suggest frying the onions up along with the chicken. It add a bit more flavor. Thanks for the recipe.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This was good though a tad salty. I will blame that on using Cooking wine instead of real red wine. They always add salt to that stuff. I should have omitted the salt recipe called for . Otherwise it was quite easy and very tender.

Acorn Squash Slices

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Thankyou for giving me the most delicious way to make acorn squash and may I add EASY and Quick to put together. I could not stop esting it. I may look for a thicker consistancy in the Maple syrup so it clings better to the squash. The nuts added a wonderful touch!! This will be on the table for this coming Thanksgiving and probably regularly during the year too.

Honey-Spice Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Just scrumptious. We really loved the flavor of the cinnamon and ginger combined with the butter and honey. The timing was perfect. Done to a turn and better than dessert although it was not overly sweet. Just right. Gona serve this on Thanksgiving!!

It was just OK. I did like the beets but not the beet greens. I had to roast them longer than time stated as well.

Yummy Pork Chops

Theses were OK but nothing to write home about. Sauce was a little too vinagarry and too thin. They did get tender though.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Wonderful dish. Flavor was so delicious. Pork was so tender too. I was afraid the 3 buillions would make it very salty so I put less salt in the cheese mixture. Was not salty at all. My husband just loved these pork chops. It is a keeper.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
Absolutely the most moist and luscious quick bread I have had in years. Went through 2 loaves in minutes!! I didn't have any mini loaf pans but I did have 2 regular size loaf pans. They baked beautifully with the directions given. This is a keeper. Yes, definitely drain or squeeze out the excess water from the zucchini before adding!!!

Quick Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
This was very good and a real guilt free meal too. So easy and a very tasty and comforting way to make chickem. My husband loves chicken so I am always searching. This was even better the next day too. The butter added ,though not much, really gave the stew a nice consistancy and did add to the flavor. Will be a keeper for sure. I am sure using any type of vegetables would be fine too.

Lots of compliments on these. My only mistake was combining everything in the cream cheese mixture instead of layering. May not have looked as pretty but they still disapeared.

Tasty and easy shrimp dish. Would have been better if I had used fesh Basil. Dried just didn't cut it. I used half and half too so I had to thicken with corn starch. Will try again.

Definitely a ver easy way to make a tender brisket. As one of the other cooks i also put the whole thing in the crockpot and it turned out great. 7 hours on low was just right. I threw in some carrots and celery as well. My husband loved it.
