About this Cook
Age 31 married mom to two adorable toddlers. Currently working towards my nursing degree I love spend my free time with my family or cooking/baking. I love Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen and always get inspired while the shows are on! My mom is an excellent cook and I learned most of what I know from her.
My favorite things to cook
For now I'll say dessert because I think that is what I'm really good at. My cheesecake and poundcake is the best!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our Thanksgiving day stuffing. It is a MUST have. When I was 18 my dad was in the hospital during Thanksgiving. My Mom had already bought all the items for the dinner so my sisters and I didn't want to let it all go to waste so I made almost the entire dinner myself from memory and from that year on my mom has stepped aside so I could cook...I've been doing it ever since!
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner, pot roast, ckn ala king to name a few family faves
My cooking tragedies
My first cheesecake was very undercooked even though I followed the recipe...I can't think of any others really.

Supreme Strawberry Topping
Easy, fast, and you can use with SO many things! I double it for a cheesecake because it goes so fast!

New York Cheesecake III
This is everything a cheesecake should be! My first wasn't nearly done enough so I cook it twice as long as it states. It tastes its best after sitting in the fridge a day, so you may want to plan ahead. I use a simple cracker crust recipe instead and I've now become the "cheesecake woman" in the family. My brother in law didn't previously like cheesecake until I made this one. My Mom said its better than Eli's or Cheesecake factory. It is dense you can easily serve 12 using one cake. I make a strawberry puree and whipped cream on top. WOW.

Easy Alfredo Sauce II
Wow, this is GOOD. Don't feel like you have to use heavy cream. I used milk and is was wonderful. I added a pinch of garlic, and parsley flakes and also made extra because we like our alfedo very saucy. It seemed to cool off the pasta too much so I heated it a bit while mixing it.
