Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
Excellent Cheesecake! I did make one modification and that was to use frozen blueberries in place of the strawberries. I've made many different cheesecakes and this was ranked in my top two. Great consistency and flavor.

Mayonnaise Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
Very light and fluffy. I was using a different drop biscuit recipe, but this has since replaced it. It is so easy to make and has great flavor. I use reduced fat mayo when I make this and they biscuits are never dry, so I don't believe this makes too much of a difference.

Sausage Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
The recipe was a bit small for a family of four...but doubling the recipe (not quite doubling the noodles) the second time around was perfect. My stepsons were a bit skeptical when they saw the dish, but they both loved it. Easy dish for a busy night.

Country House Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
I bake a lot, but have never made fudge before now. This recipe was easy and the fudge turned out great. My husband brought it to work with him (for 11 of his co-workers) and he said 3 or 4 of them told him it was the best fudge they had tasted. I will definitely make this again.

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
I was a bit nervous about just picking a steak sauce to use in this...but I used what I would typically use to make hamburgers. (It's called Dale's- a bit more local here in NC I think.) The meatloaf turned out great, lots of flavor and very moist. I will definitely make this again.

Cranberry Apple Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I make this pie every year for Thanksgiving and its wonderful. I use quick oats instead of breadcrumbs in the topping and less flour. Similar to the topping for an apple crisp. If you like traditional apple pie, you will love this!

Fried Butterflied Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
I made this for dinner last night and it was great. I used seasoned bread crumbs and then ran out for the last ten shrimp or so and replaced the breadcrumbs with a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, and a generous amount of Old Bay. We couldn't decide which of the two breadings were better, but we all agreed that I have to make these again!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
This cheesecake was amazing. I've been told this is the only one I ever need to make again! I made 2 changes- used oreo cookies for the crust as others suggested and I substituted strawberries for raspberries...I'd recommend trying that if you are making this for any strawberry lovers.

Plain Eggless Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2004
I was really skeptical about how this cake would taste, but was very surprised. It's very moist and the orange juice gave it a nice flavor. I used buttercream icing and strawberry in the middle (I used two 8 in. round pans) and used almond extract instead of vanilla. I'd receommend that change. It got great reviews as well!

These muffins were great and the fact that they are nutritious is really a plus. I might try them with strawberries and bananas next time :-)

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2004
This recipe was great! I've been searching for a sweeter cornbread that isn't dry and I think I've found it. My boyfriend suggested a little less sugar next time, so I may try it with 1/2 cup whe I make it again.

Aunt Anne's Sesame Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2003
Thank you, thank you to the person who posted this recipe! When I was a little girl, my grandmother's neighbor made these same cookies. They are wonderful, and the recipe is perfect...they are just as I remembered. I highly recommend them!
