About this Cook
I'm a single Mommma living in Alabama. I love to cook for my friends and have big dinners where everyone is talking and laughing. I think some of the best times in life are shared with food and friends!
My favorite things to cook
I like to try new recipes....I don't really have a favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter has always helped make our family recipe green bean casserole for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since she's grown and gone, she only comes home for Thanksgiving now and not Christmas. We still make it together every year.
My cooking triumphs
People love the stuffed mushrooms recipe that I have from AllRecipes ( Gary's Mushrooms ). Every time I make them, it's a cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
About 25 years ago, I bought a ham from a famous grocery store that starts with a P - prepared it - invited EVERYONE for Christmas dinner - when we cut into it, it was not a HAM - it was a LAMB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The famous grocery store that starts with a P said "sometimes things get mislabeled".....

Southern Fried Green Beans
This is exactly what everyone says it is. Easy, quick, and absolutely yummy. I did like most said and cut the sugar to 1 teaspoon and it was fine. I didn't add onions because our guest doesn't like onions. I will add them next time and I bet it'll be even better. It was FINE without them though. MAKE THIS Y'ALL!!!!

Best Tuna Casserole
I normally despise tuna casserole. I LOVE this recipe. I sauteed the onions and mushrooms first. I added 1/2 soup can of milk. In every other way, I followed the recipe. This is CRAZY good!
