About this Cook
I am 30 year old and live with my husband and 2 young daughters in Massachusetts. My love of cooking began when I was a little girl and I would watch my Dad and the wonderful creations he made.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake new things. I also love to cook big holiday meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every hoilday we have a special theme to cook. On Valentine's day we cook a special family dinner, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, Halloween. Every one is special.
My cooking triumphs
Making a picture perfect chocolate mousse cake. Also when a loaf of bread comes out to perfection.
My cooking tragedies
Steak, I just can't seem to cook it right! I finally conquered this! Look up the recipe for Juicy Steak.. Broil them FROZEN! They come out perfect everytime!

Banana Crumb Muffins
Wow! These are excellent! I may never make banana bread again because these were so awesome! I only made slight changes due to what I had on-hand and flavor preferences. I only had two bananas,(and make sure you use RIPE (black peel) bananas)so I added about 1/4 cup of natural applesauce. I also added some walnuts. And for the crumb coating I omitted the flour and added about 1/3 cup of oats. Very moist and fluffy. Everyone loved them!

Lemon-Raspberry Muffins
These are very delightful! I followed the recipe and also added a cinnamon oat streusel topping and then a lemon glaze. The muffins were very moist and cake-like. I will definitely make these again!

Chicken Zucchini Casserole
Wow! I wasn't expecting this to have as much flavor as it did. The only changes I made was adding 2 small summer squash in addition to the zucchini and I used cream of mushroom soup rather than cream of chicken. My daughters were both complaining as I was preparing this. They were not thrilled to eat zucchini again. And you know what? They loved this and my youngest went back for seconds. I would like to cut back on the butter next time but only for health reasons.
