About this Cook
I like being creative in many ways...whether it be food, art, or music, I just like to experiment and try new things. Both my grandmothers are excellent cooks, and I learned so much by getting to help give them a hand in the kitchen (and still do). My husband is also becoming a good cook, and likes to develop his own creations as well
My favorite things to cook
I definitely love pasta dishes and desserts, mainly cookies and cakes. I try to limit this though, and cook us some good veggie dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chirstmas is big for many families, ours included. My mom's family always has a progressive dinner starting with appetizers and ending with desserts, with everyone bringing sweets. It's fun to try the new things and learn about them, but we always want the "old favorites".
My cooking triumphs
A 10 layer chocolate cake, just like my Granny makes and an Italian torte.
My cooking tragedies
I've made some poor substitution choices including one time where I ended up with brownies that had a consistency like spongy tootsie rolls!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
Took me a little longer to put together but well worth it! Also made the cream cheese frosting as several others did. These are soft and yummy and they reheat well too!
