About this Cook
Married 33 years. Three children, 2 grandchildren. I'm a RN in the ICU of my local hospital. We have a black lab named Stormy. I love reality TV, and a new fan of country music.
My favorite things to cook
Halupki, Stuffed Peppers, soups
My favorite family cooking traditions
On Thanksgiving, I always use my mothers old gravy boat. Sadly I broke it this year.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinners.
My cooking tragedies
I will never ever live this one down. On Easter, either my mother, or my mother-in-law made the pickled eggs, I never had to. Well, when these great ladies passed away, I now had to make them for my family. One Easter I made them, and my husband went to get one and said something was wrong. Oh my gosh, I pickled them with the shells still on! We got a big laugh out of that one.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
My first attempt at making a cream soup and it worked out great! I used bacon, and added cheese. Wonderful!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf
I would have given this 5 stars, but my hubby requested "my" meatloaf,(which comes straight from the back of the Liptons Beefy Onion soup mix box) a few days later. I thought it was great. The sauce was sooo good! I made it just as the recipe states.

Hot Onion Dip
Took this to work on night shift, everyone raved. There were some leftovers so I left it in fridge for am shift. Well, sitting in fridge, it got stiff, so they probably didn't know what to do with it so they didn't eat it. I came in the next night, added a little water, heated, stirred till smooth, and the night shift crew raved! LOL Only thing I did different was sauted the onions. We are nurses, so we had to break out the gum, but we loved it!
