This one was GREAT! I used it in a Texas-theme meal. I discovered that I was out of Vegetable Oil, so used Olive oil instead and it was still yummy. WARNING: Because of the high milk content, it does not keep well at room temp. It will become very stinky, slimy and GROSS if left on counter for a week by your ungrateful visiting relatives. Eaten FRESH, its VERY YUMMY!

This is a terrible recipe!! I wish I had read the other reviews before trying it! It does come out more like a batter than a dough. When it came out all wrong, I came back to Allrecipe.com to see what I could do - I added more flour and more sugar. They came out OK (my chocoholic husband still ate them), but the texture was still pretty weird. They did LOOK pretty though. Its a good concept. But something is definitely wrong with the ingredient proportions.

YUMMY DELICIOUS!!! My husband can't get enough of this one! I made one modification - I melted some chocolate chips with 1/2 teaspoon shortening in the microwave and drizzled it over the whipped cream. Watch out for adding extra nuts - we had too many. We all agreed that the pie base would also be great served warm with ice cream, omitting the whipped cream. Its a very flexible pie.
