just good. People liked them, but didn't love them. I have had better.

Chicken Hurry

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
I was gonna follow others suggestions with the onicn and garlic, but decided I should try it as is first. I'm glad I did. It was pretty good. I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal, but for what you put into it, it is decent. (kinda like sweet and sour-would be good with rice.) I will add this: Use tinfoil or parchment paper! What a burnt on mess!!!

Poor Man's Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
The whole time I was making this sandwich, I was laughing to myself, thinking "I cant belive I'm gonna eat this!" But I did, and it was so good! Weirdest thing I've ever eaten. And I grew up with pickled pigs ears and crackling sandwiches.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
These rolled out nicely, but but at 400degrees they came out burnt on the bottom and not cooked on top after 6 min. They next batch I baked at 350 for 10 min. and they came out nice, golden on the bottom. (1/4" thick). They tasted strongly like flour, but with icing they were okay.

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
I made these just like the recipie said, except without the chile sauce. I used Bicardi Rum like another reviewer mentioned. The ribs were very tender, the bones fell off as I was bbq'ing them. I didn't find the sauce that great. It was almost like a honey garlic sauce except not as sweet. My family thought it was okay, but i won't make them sauce again.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Wow! I followed the recipie exactly, using the same spices and cooking times, except with a 3lb. roast. It was too rare for me, so I cooked it another half an hour, and then it was well done, which i usally find dry, but it was the best roast ever! Imagine that, a well done piece of meat that is still moist and tender!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I was looking for a recipie for the saskatoon berries I just picked, but couldn't find any, so I tried this and just replaced the fruit mixture. Its, good, but really sweet. I thought I would love this, since it has a top and bottom crust, (my fav.part) but this is just too much! It definatly needs to be served hot with ice cream!

Barbecued Beef Ribs for Two

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
First time I've tried beef ribs, and I followed the recipie exactly. Not enough sauce, you should double it. I think the sauce would be better on pork ribs.

Jeannie's Famous Potato Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I was feeling lazy, so I did as another reviewer suggested and used tator tots. I then used only 2 cups of cheese, Kraft texmex mix(chedd.,colby and montery jack). If I make it again I will mix in some frozen mixed veggies so it will have at least something nutritional about it! Oh, and the cream sauce took about 25 min. to thicken, with the help of an extra 1/4 cup of flour. it looked like way too much,(not adding the extra cup of milk) I thought maybe I read the recipie wrong, but it turned out fine. My 9x13 dish was overflowing, next time I'll use my lasagna dish!

Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
I followed the recipie, but left out the pepperoncini and added red onion. I have never had avocado before, so I was unsure what it was supposed to be like, but I peeled it, mashed some (hope it was supposed to be mushy and gross looking, I thought I might have bought a rotton one) and put it on. It was such a good sandwich! EDIT:second time made it, did the same as above, but also left out the avocado(had none left), and added fresh basil, salt and pepper to the red wine vinegar and oil, and added thin slices of yellow pepper. Awesome!

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
Really, really good! I followed others and browned the chops, added a little garlic and sauted the onions and mushrooms(about 2cups-we love mushrooms)Then used 1 can of golden mushroom soup and 2 cans of regular mushroom soup. It needed a little water to smooth it out, and we only cooked it for about 25 min. uncovered. We served it with rice, and mixed veggies. The sauce was so good over the rice, my 6 yr. old ate seconds, and he usually picks at his food and never eats rice! The only thing I will do differently next time, it to use more golden mushroom soup just for a different taste than the usual mushroom soup chops.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Pretty good, nice spices.(was a little worried about the cloves and cinnamon)I tried to follow the recipie exactly, but I didn't have wine, and replaced the crushed red peppers with garlic. I also did the potato part a little different. I sliced and boiled 6 med. potatoes, then arranged it like a shepards pie. That is what it was kinda like, but without the gravy, and next time I'll add flour and more cream to make it like that.

Tomato Bread Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
I really enjoyed this salad! I used toasted garlic bread cubes instead of Italian, and dried basil instead of fresh. Nice amount of dressing and the bread just softened up a little. Next time I will cube everything smaller, so I can get a little ingrediant with every bite.I am bringing this to the next family BBQ!

Italian Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
Very good. Just the right amount of dressing for the pasta. Thought it needed something, so I added some garlic powder. I think I might cut back on the parmesan next time by 1/4 cup. I also added 1 cup of frozen peas, and next time i'll add brocoli. Probably even better after it sits for a while, so the onion flavor can spread abit. Oh ya, I used calorie-wise dressings.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I didnt change a thing-and didnt need to! Delicious! Well, actually, I did use Top sirloin instead of flank. Flank is pretty expensive here. Anyway, next time I'll use the BBQ instead of Broil.(My bbqs covered in 3 feet of snow right now.)

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
I added the yeast to water, then mixed it all together with 1tsp of minced garlic and 1tsp Italian seasoning. I made two crusts. The first, on a pan with holes in it, and the second a regular cookie sheet that I oiled. The oiled crust came out nice and crispy bottom and soft inside, but the other one was just soggy. (I would have thought the results would have been reversed.) But even bad pizza is good to eat in our house, so because it was so easy, i'll make it again!.
