I am newly married and living with my husband and our crazy menagerie of pets in rural North Carolina... life is beautiful here! I love experimenting with my Mother-in-laws Persian, Pakistani, Afghani, and Indian recipes. I will always love my Bavarian heritage and work to keep up with the family favorites my Mom and Grandma prepare at home in Northern Minnesota! Making my first Indian dish, aloo bahji (braised potatoes with tomatoes and onions in a spicy curry). It was delicious; my husband even called home to tell his Mom about it! Too many to count, what can I say I'm a work in progress. (Although one instance stands out when I managed to catch my slipper on fire!)
