About this Cook
I love to cook! I don't like boring food, meaning, I love the spice of life! :) I love to try new recipes from all walks of the world, as long as they are healthy. I want my own cooking show on the food network! :)
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are soups and stews. The best one I've made is a beef stew made with v-8 vegetable juice. It's awesome and perfect for those really cold winter, blustery days! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite type of cooking is during the Christmas Holidays. Being of Puerto Rican decent, learning from my mami and abuela about creole and island flare cooking is the best, especially during the holidays. Vaya el arroz con gandules, pernil y pasteles! WEPA!
My cooking triumphs
I triumphed with a Chicken Kiev dish that i made! It was so moist and flavorfull! Very delicious! I made it for one of my dinner parties. The dish was a hit, had to share the recipe! :)
My cooking tragedies
OH MY GOODNESS: This has to be my first Thanksgiving dinner when i first got married. (I didn't remove the giblets from the cavity of the turkey) :( I didn't even know they were there! he he he :)

Mashed Potatoes with Horseradish
These mashed potatoes were delicious. Very tasty. I only had unsalted butter and used that. I added salt at the end to taste. I also used creamy horseradish. Excellent! Will make again.

Crustless Cranberry Pie
This pie was excellent! The tartness of the cranberries, the sweetness of the almond extract and sugar all combined together for happiness in your mouth. I served it warm with slow churned ice cream on top. This dessert was a hit and was all gone, no left overs! Very easy to make and will definitely make again!

Irresistible Pecan Pie
I wouldn't say it's the greatest. It was good... I think I'll add more pecans next time. Flavor was good...
